This OC leaped into my mind yesterday and I had to draw them before I got distracted. I don't know their gender, their name, or their backstory but I do know I will enjoy finding these things out! This is also the first human I've drawn in a while. lol.
Another take on my Wings of Pages concept. This time it's drawn in Procreate instead of SAI.
The hardest part was writing all those words onto each page. It's 50% real text from books and poems and songs, and 50% chicken scratch lol

something i wish i had realized earlier: you can write poems on the same subject more than once. you can write, paint, draw the same thing over and over if you want to. you can spend your whole life making art about oranges. i think i always felt this pressure to get it right the first time like i couldn’t go back and use that inspiration again. but you can. you can go back and revisit it. you can pick up the conversation again and again if you have more to say.
Adhd will have you too burnt out to eat or shower but give you the hubris to decide you can homebrew an entire d&d system on the back of a receipt
I still draw sometimes. Here's my character Vesser. Vesser's grandfather is a dragon. His grandmother is an elven princess who gave up her nobility to be with a dragon. His grandparents are huge book nerds and collect books. Enough books that their collection is now called the Silver Citadel and has a staff to support it.
Vesser's father is a half-dragon and has wings and claws and some scales. His mother is elven and a bad-ass wizard. They met while adventuring and wound up in the same party together. They decided to return to adventuring when a disaster struck and high-ranked adventurers were being called upon to assist. Vesser was left with his grandparents to be raised in the Silver Citadel.
Vesser is very well-read, being raised by book nerds who have their own archive will do that, and is fluent in several languages. His parents would stop in from time to time with tales of their adventures, which sounded far more exciting than books, and when he came of age, Vesser followed in their footsteps and became an adventurer, too.
Vesser is a singing sorcerer. That is, he started off his adventuring life as a bard (with a keen interest in biographies and historical battles). A few levels in and his dragon blood 'awakened' and he switched classes from bard to sorcerer.
I don't know why I drew him with four fingers. He has five. XD
