“Well, it’s not the most obscure anime, but it ends abruptly like no one wanted, was adapted into a manga, a weird sequel, has at least three games for the playstation, and is also basically about earth turning into this weird other planet inhabited partially by aliens, and the main character is a dense 15 year old who has to fall in love with this girl so they can pilot a giant robot to keep the universe from exploding. Also, even though it’s a war anime, like only 2 main characters ever die. Typical.”

“I have no idea what an anime is.” Michael said, quietly bemused by Dean’s monologue about whatever show he was watching, a half smile leaking onto his face as he crossed his arms. “And I feel like I ought to inform the writers of such that that is, sadly, not how a war works. At all.”

And it does happen a lot in anime, where little to no characters of importance die...or are somehow magically resurrected time and time again. Perhaps the origin came from something in the real world."

do you ever think that one day dean just randomly gets mad at cas but he doesn’t say why and he just huffs and puffs for the entire day and doesn’t say anything and then finally cas is like dean ive had enough of this shit what is wrong with u. and dean just squints at him and he’s like u asshole. i cant believe u made me dig myself out of a fuckin grave like oh my god couldn’t you have dropped me off at a fuckin pizza hut or something jesus christ, cas.

Dean had focused on the beautiful nature for a while now, and while he felt content doing so, a reality check hit him straight in the face, and he remembered that which he’d kept in the back of his mind until now.

He sighed. “Angels are stubborn, aren’t they? They say that demons are the stubborn ones, but I have a feeling that isn’t true. What’s a man gotta do to go back to his old life?”

“Tell me where Alistair is to go back to hell or tell me where Alistair, Meg, Crowley and Abandon are and you can wonder heaven relatively freely. I would have to company you. I have nearly returnable, Dean. Time moves at a close stop in Eden.”

“Do you remember what I said after your original offer? Nothing has changed since I said what I did, and neither have I. I shall make sure to keep it in mind, though.” He said nonchalantly, focused more on the environment rather than Castiel. He wasn’t doing it on purpose, but he did hope not paying attention would annoy Castiel.

Castiel was silent. He felt at home in Eden. When he was a fledgling he would run spend his hours after training here. It was perfect here. and after the war castiel hoped to stay here forever. He had read all the books he had wanted to read and conversing with the other angels was a chore. Castiel even had found hollow tree to stay in. If Dean decided to stay here for a while Castiel thought he would wonder to the tree.

Dean didn’t know if it was a good sign for Cas to no longer be conscious, but there wasn’t much he could do about it. It wasn’t exactly like he knew anything about angel health, but he could sure look up random shit on the Internet while he waited for a response from Sam.

Cas sat up straight in bed a few hours later, holding his head in his hands while he searched for Dean and seeing him with his computer, “Dean?” he asked in a gravely tone.
