BUCKET LIST: Visit Santorini, Greece
Santorini may well have conquered a corner of your imagination before you’ve even set eyes on it. With multicoloured cliffs soaring over 300m from a sea-drowned caldera, it rests in the middle of the indigo Aegean, looking like a giant slab of layered cake. The island spoons the vast crater left by one of the biggest volcanic eruptions in history. Smaller islands curl around the fragmented western edge of the caldera, but it is the main island of Thira that will take your breath away with its snow-drift of white Cycladic houses lining the cliff tops and, in places, spilling like icy cornices down the terraced rock. When the sun sets, the reflection on the buildings and the glow of the orange and red in the cliffs can be truly spectacular.
Santorini is no secret and draws crowds for most of the year, yet it wears its tourism well and its offerings make it worth the bustle. The island’s intrigue reaches deep into the past, with the fascinating Minoan site of Akrotiri and the gorgeous traditional hilltop village of Oia. It also glides effortlessly into the future with accomplished artists, excellent wineries, a unique microbrewery, and some of the Cyclades finest accommodation and dining experiences. The multicoloured beaches are simply the icing on the cake. (via The Lonely Planet)
BUCKET LIST: Live in a tiny house
Tiny homes truly embody the phrase, “less is more.” With an increasing number of Americans spending a larger percentage of their income on mortgage and rent, many are turning towards tiny homes. These miniature living spaces are usually anywhere from 100-400 square feet and cost approximately $25,000 to build. In addition, tiny homes are more sustainable than the typical home, which averages over 2,000 square feet and uses a significantly higher amount of electricity. Would you ever go tiny?

RELAUNCH! Just Girly Wishes is now The Life Wishlist, a bucket list focused on inspiring conscious, meaningful and adventurous living. After graduating from high school, traveling the globe and taking a three-month break from social media, I am returning with increased clarity and a greater interest in growing my online presence. I’m not going to lie, for the past year, I had felt rather uninspired by my own content. I am not the same girl I was four years ago when this blog first launched. I felt that my layout was outdated and lacked a core message.
In June, I traveled the globe for the month and deactivated my account. I spent the entire summer without posting on this blog. I worked, traveled, and focused on myself. I realized that if I wanted to continue to grow my blog and feel proud of the content I was putting out there, I had to follow my intuition. So after hours of brainstorming, editing and creating templates, I am back! Fear not, you are still going to receive daily bucket list posts, but I hope this new layout affords me more opportunity and growth than my last. I hope that I never feel limited by what I am putting out there. I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from me, but I hope you’ll continue to join me on this journey.
With gratitude, Kayla
