My mom made me steer far away from ppl who were too close to the “Opus” branch which in Peru is super conservative (I.e. they actually do follow the birth control ban and have more kids than most). They can be very rigid with their life. The archbishop of Lima was part of the order and at least in the circles I found myself in everyone *hated* him. Pure utter disdain. (He came off as an asshole tbh.

That said what’s the point of eating cake at a non-denominational service if it is crappy ass store bought cake. Say what you will about Catholicism but damn it our orders of nuns are boss at baking. The carmelite bakers in Lima has the best fresh bread every morning. And you know if you are traveling and trying traditional age old desserts that the nuns will have the best ones.

I don’t know shit about making merch but I had a concept in my mind for a series of characters holding things that they liked that was also significant to their nation - Lithuania has way more to it than basketball but I feel like he would be quite passionate about it and it means a lot to people there. I read something about how Basketball was something that unified a lot of people. It’s also called “the second religion.” I’m not sure if I’ll shade or not. Either way. Let me know what you think if you can.

He is with the Estcube a super tiny satellite and the first of it kind to attempt to use energy from electric solar wind sails. the little wires theoretically should be bigger and i need to fix the positioning of them but yeah. this is another design i have in mind. should i at least do the baltic trio would anyone be interested in them? the price per ones would be 5-7 USD about if I have them done with acrylic by an actual doujinshi keychain making place.  i have other ideas in mind for other characters. either poland with paczki or paluszki and latvia with Riga Black Balsam, as well as a Lietpol one with Sakotis.

This is the most pie art I’ve attempted yet, with lots of shapes cut out from pie dough and painted with food coloring. It’s still out of my comfort zone (pie crust seems to bake up so unpredictably to me, I still think my cut outs look prettier before baking!), but I think practice is helping 🥧
