Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, ‘Where have I gone wrong?’ Then a voice says to me, ‘This is going to take more than one night.’

Eight months ago, I started writing a story about a boy attempting to understand why his older brother wanted to run away from home. I wanted to explore what the idea of home means and where someone finds it. Though, as I kept writing, there were many more ideas that found their way into this world, as the story started to explore topics such as identity and the desensitization of modern youth. Anyway, now I have Culdesac, a film about two brothers, struggling with the aftermath of their parents’ divorce, who are forced to find closure and stability when their school is threatened. It’s a story that’s very dear to me, and I hope it’s something that will resonate with all of you as well.

Although I can finally share Culdesac today, it is still only the beginning of the process. I’m grateful for all the extremely talented people who are already working on this and share the same level of passion that I do, but as expected, it takes an army to actually make a film happen, and we won’t be able to make it without help. Below is the link to the film’s Kickstarter page where you can read more about the story and where we are at; if you feel that you can help bring this to life, you will be able to do so through Kickstarter. However, as mentioned on the page, we understand that not everyone is able to financially contribute to the film. We still believe awareness can go great lengths in bringing this to life, so if you would still like to be apart of the making of Culdesac, we ask that you please share our Kickstarter with your friends and family through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms. Either way, please let it be known how personally grateful I am for everyone who has supported me and my ideas. I will be in Pleasanton filming this towards the end of August. Although I will post about this more as our shoot approaches, I will be looking to hire a few production assistants that will be in Pleasanton during this time, so let me know if you are interested. I hope to involve the community that inspired the making of this film in many ways.

For any inquiries, please email filmculdesac@gmail.com

Join Culdesac for updates!

Again, thank you for all your support.
