Time to panic – we have MAYBE a dozen turns left before Elon Musk achieves a Science Victory.
The gaming industry needs to fucking stop

I’m not the only bug who’s played these games after all!
Yeah, back in the day I had a potato-class computer that could only play these kind of games. I’ve developed a particularly special love-hate relationship with the King’s Quest series… they perfectly showcase the kind of insane logic that point and click adventure games are infamous for.
You mean this isn’t normal logic?

King's Quest V was my bane. I played for hours and never really got very far. Found all sorts of ways to die though.
That bear’s got a mean right hook.

Instead of doing anything actually productive over the last few days, I’ve been faffing about with @askashapeshifter (and Tara Jenkins, more indirectly, who actually did the original art that we de-made here) and making these things based off the old Sierra adventure games, like Space Quest 3, and Quest for Glory.
... Of which I realize most of you out there probably aren’t familiar.
Anyway, getting things down to EGA standards is fun. Couldn’t decide whether the game over window was better with the pixels redrawn or not, so here’s both.
Anyway, back to doing real productive stuff soon!
Don't forget to poke your snout in here if you have to be gone even longer. I'm sure your fans would like to be in the know!
Aaaaa I didn’t see whenever this message got into here!
Aaaaa I’m trying to work on stuff!
Aaaaa I’m a bug who’s not very good at staying on top of things
thanks for patience
2017 IS THE YEAR OF DDR TRACKS
Holy crap I heard each one in my head without even clicking on the videos. What a blast from the past.
We should be nice to Comic Sands
Turns out the irregular shapes of the letters in Comic Sans allow dyslexics to focus on the individual parts of words. While many fonts use repeated shapes to create different letters, such as a “p” rotated to made a “q,” Comic Sans uses few repeated shapes, creating distinct letters (although it does have a mirrored “b” and “d”). Comic Sans is one of a few typefaces recommended by influential organizations like the British Dyslexia Association and the Dyslexia Association of Ireland. (x)
Take that, type and design elitists!
frustratingly, as someone with a pretty solid dyslexia tendency, comic sans gives me a goddamn migraine. I’m allergic to a font, damnit.
Then let me introduce you to Comic Neue. It’s a font designed to keep the good parts of Comic Sans and fix all the hated parts. Better yet, it’s free to use anywhere you want.
If you’re looking specifically to address legibility for dyslexics, there is specifically a font for that:
I kind of like it as a comic-style font in general, too.
i enjoyed this very much, thank you andrew huang.
