“I don’t think the ocean would like MY blood. It’s all dead and gross, and the ocean is all salty and watery and full of sharks. And sea creatures. And subareens and stuff. Also I don’t hear anything. Do ya speak Ocean or somethinn’?” 

“Yes! Of course you can have the fries!! They’re super delicious too you won’t even be a little disappointed like not even a little teensy tiny bit!” Nobody gushed, pushing the fries to the man. There weren’t very many benefits to being a superheated ghost, but being able to keep food hot was one of them. “Do ya need some ketchup?! I’ll go get some ketchup for you!! Or-- oh wait, or are  ya more of a different sauce kinda friend? Cos I don’t judge! I’m very open-minded about sauce intake! Ketchup, ranch, honey mustard, I even met a girl who liked to dip her fries into a vanilla milkshake. It’s all fine with me!”

Nobody stared at her, repeating the words over and over and over inside of their head, because the words didn't make much sense to them, but she seemed quite the serious little child, so they oughta think this over. Except Nobody didn't really have much of any idea who 'them' was.

"Well! I dunno about any of that, but I'm super glad for them! 'Cos I dunno if you like THEM or not, but I like you! And if you wouldn't be who you are because they aren't who they are, then I'm glad they are who they are so that you are who you are? I think. Ummm, I kinda lost my train of thought halfway there, but...?"

Nobody laughed, curling up and getting comfortable on Keegan’s chest. “Yeah, well, I guess ya donno many other two thousand degree ghosts, mm? But I dunno bout that lovely thing, ’cos I’d say you’re lovelier, and don’t argue with me about it, ’cos you’ll just upset me, an’ I know how much ya hate upsettin’ me.”
