YOUTUBE!

Hey guys,

Today I uploaded the first of many new styled videos on my youtube channel! I’ve been debating whether to do the whole VLOG styled approach to youtube for a while, and have always had dozens of ideas for creative and unique videos but never either really found the time, or had a good base to produce from.

I’m so stoked to say I’ve finally got an office setup I feel really comfortable in, and has a little bit of space to produce work in! The first of my uploads is giving you a little tour of my new office, and formally introducing myself to the channel. You can check out the video here:

I’d be really appreciative if you could go give it a watch, and even subscribe to my channel if its not too much of a hassle! In the video I also mention that I’m doing a give away of a pair of prints I didn’t have room for on my walls, so there’s an opportunity for you to win some really nice black and white photographs for your home, all you have to do is subscribe, and you’ll be entered into a draw.

What kick started my initial idea to start putting my face more in front of the camera for the youtube stuff? Well, it was a combination of things really. One of the more prominent reasons is because I’ve seen the style of videos that have really gained traffic over the last year or so, and a lot of it is VLOG based, people are just interested in watching other people, its actually a really clever way of giving people an insight into your life and what you get up to. And given I have quiet a diverse career and interesting life (or so I like to think haha) I thought I’d give it a shot. The content previously on my youtube, I would just make cool looking videos, or add a little bit of personality to them (like my Behind The Lens series) however it was always my voice, and a POV style video, and never really my face, and talking directly to the viewer. I never really saw much interest in these sort of videos, where as a video of someone showing their face and doing something interesting, or even utterly stupid at times, gets a huge volume of traffic, and it would always really baffle me! So what I’ve devised is to blend the two together, in the hope of producing slick looking content, which gives off that personal vibe in which people on youtube have a thirst for.

The second main reason behind my now new approach to youtube is that I’ve yet to see anyone present photography & videography in the way I do. I’ve always perceived the camera as one of the most powerful tools a man can hold within his hands, and that it is a device that can be great for your self expression & personality. It really is a cool thing, and I don’t really see anyone in the online community putting photography out there as a cool and current thing. The top photographic channels always seem to be based in a studio, or talking about the same old stuff of techniques, camera reviews, tutorials etc. As someone who has a natural urge to explore and create, I never really found these sort of videos very captivating, but if a video were to be full of passion & produced in a unique way, I’d be hooked.

I haven’t seen anyway really teach photography from the heart in a creative manor, and that’s what I’d like to do with my uploads. I get so many messages from people saying that they love my work and approach, and are influenced by what I do and I’m flattered by it honestly! But I want to do more with it. Art is so so so special, 'art has the power to transform, to illuminate, to educate, inspire and motivate.' I want to preach this, and prove to myself and the world that passion is power, and that anything is achievable with a camera in your hands. So if I can put this out there in a way I can connect with people through comedy, creative and unique content then that’s what I’ll have to do, hence the new approach to my youtube!

I think I’d be a good person to fill this niche because of the way I discovered photography, and the perception I have on it. I only hope that people can relate, but if it doesn’t go the way I’ve planned then I’m not going to let it get to me, I picked up a camera and started shooting for the pure enjoyment of it, so this is just going to be another path to enjoying what I do even more.

That kind of wraps up my post quiet nicely. I never intended to write such an in depth post about my youtube and the ambitions I have for it, but I guess its a natural thing to happen when your writing, you just go off on one. I never really liked blogging, and saw it as a bit of a burden but after this post I think I’ll begin to enjoy it a little more. It’s actually quiet a nice thing just writing stuff you’re passionate about.

If you took time out of your day to read this than big up to you. Thanks for showing love, whether its because of my content or what I say and do. I appreciate it. Like honestly I do, people always write that combination of words but never really put much thought behind it, but truly, I do appreciate your time and support. Thank you.

Feeling Good!

What’s up readers?

Got a spare afternoon so thought I’d bust a little blog post up. Feeling really motivated with photography at the moment, and I’m really excited for the work I’m about to embark on.

Over the last couple weeks, I’ve been busy shooting a lot of automotive events for HR Owen. First I had the London Motorshow, which was an incredible opportunity to see some beautiful cars, as well as a great selection of cars put on show by HR Owen, which I was tasked to shoot! Below are a few of my favourites from the day.

With events such as this one, my focus is more about the people enjoying the cars and not some much just about the cars. So when I’m shooting this sort of work, I’m constantly people watching (sounds odd haha) but for the great shots I need to deliver I need to catch people laughing, smiling and having a good time in the presence of HR Owen’s stand and cars. However before each event kicks off I do get a spare hour to shoot just the cars (secretly this is my favourite part and always sets my day up on a good vibe). I also produced a video from this event, but that remains exclusive to them, so unfortunately you can’t see it!

The latest one I shot was this weekend, down at their Pangbourne site where they had an open day at their 3 showrooms: Aston Martin, Lamborghini & Bentley. I was excited to shoot this one, because not only did I get to shoot beautiful cars, but 3 different types of them! Again this was about the people, and not just about the cars, but as the day wasn’t too busy I had a fair bit of time to shoot the cars. Here’s my favourites!

So that rounds up the automotive work I’ve recently shot.

I have just spent the last couple weeks re doing my home office, and it’s finally complete! Which means I can finally start filming proper creative content towards my youtube. You may question why I had to have an office to put up videos, and my reasoning behind it is because I wanted a space I felt really comfortable producing in and displaying to people. I’m very picky about what I upload on my other social media platforms, and would only want the very best of content to go up on youtube. So by having an office that looks the part, it rests my mind on the whole presentation of my work space and producing environment. The list of video ideas I have is never ending, and each one of them is unique in their own little way. I haven’t seen anyone online produce the sort of thing I’m about to go about doing, which is why I doing it! Hopefully there’s an audience for people who think photography is a cool and creative. The first of the videos to emerge onto my youtube is going to be a video of my office space, and introduce myself and my channel formally to youtube and my current audience. Over the last year or so, I’ve only chucked up cool videos every so often, but now that I have this plan and base to produce such videos, it will be more of a scheduled thing. I’ll be aiming to upload twice a week, and if the traffic to my channel grows, so will the upload count per week. So if you havent subscribed, head over to my channel now and press the red button!

I’ve also recently been commissioned for some big big work which I am over the moon about! I can’t talk to much about it currently as it’s all a bit hush, but it involves filming a short documentary!

I’ll be posting another little blog post later on this week, so you’ll have more to read then.

Till then, keep shooting!

Lenzkillah

Yo guys!

Thought I’d drop a quick blog post this morning before embarking on an afternoon of editing. So todays entry comes from a brief conversation I had with someone at my local skatepark the other day, and they asked me ‘How did the Lenzkillah name come about?’. I answered the question very briefly, but didn’t elaborate on why I chose to pick up an alias name.

So I thought I’d post it up here!

The name came about a few years back, when I use to just call my hard drives ‘LENZKILLAH’ but I never made it a public thing till maybe a year or so ago. The only reason I think I named them like that was because I just liked the phrase ‘Killed it’ meaning someone did something sick. ‘You killed it with that shot man!’. It’s sort of a phrase that surrounds extreme sports & urban culture, two things I’m very passionate about and with that I decided to start using it across my social media platforms. It actually took me a while to decide on using it as an alias name, there were pros and cons to it, but the one main thing that really made me make the change was purely they I have quiet a confusing real name. People always misspell and mispronounciate my second name, so to save me the hassle I decided on changing it to Lenzkillah, something I think you’d find hard to forget.

However recently I’ve been rather skeptical of the name at times. And have had many discussions with friends whether or not I should keep using it as an alias or not. Working with people such as Bentley & Rolls Royce and other high end clients, you wouldn't expect them to align with someone with a name as out there as that, but the other thing whether people across the whole spectrum of age and background would like it. I know the younger generation like it, but what do the older generation think of it? I’ve been meaning to ask many of my clients what they think of it, because if it is something that doesn’t sit well with everyone I may decide to move back using my given name for my work. However, for the time being I’m quiet happy with it. It suits my style of work and personality, and gives off that little bit of extra edge, something I try to do within my work itself, but I’m sure you can understand my self battle of decision whether to keep it or not.

So that’s the story of how Lenzkillah came about. Not at all that interesting really, but if you wanted to know, well there it is!

I’m planing on running a small line of products based on photography & my work, things such as camera straps, T shirts with my images on eventually, so I’m really looking forward to that opportunity when it comes about.

That concludes todays blog post! If you’ve got any questions about what I do then feel free to ask!

And if you’re not following my social media platforms, now is your chance to do so! ;)

BACK IN THE UK

Hey guys!

Got a relatively free day so I thought I’d pop a little blog post up on here, that and I’ve been meaning to write more. I recently read quiet an enlightening book on how to better your entrepreneurial mindset, and how to pursue a incredibly successful life. One of the many points it makes is to write more. So here I am! And hopefully I’ll be writing on here maybe once or twice a week. I know for a fact that this doesn’t get many reads, but it doesn’t bother me really because I enjoy talking about my work, and presenting across my philosophy about photography.

So without further ado, what have I been up to over the last month then? During March I had the amazing opportunity to head out to New Zealand for just over 3 weeks on a work trip. I was commissioned by Marin Bikes ( A mountain bike company ) to head out there with one of their riders called Matt Jones, who I’ve previously mentioned on here before. Our goal was to produce a selection of imagery of Matt riding 2 of their bikes + 2 web edits advertising the new bikes they are releasing. In short, the trip was phenomenal. It was my first time out in NZ, and I didn’t really know what to expect. I was blown away by the natural beauty of the country and its culture. I was a little nervous to head out on this trip, I haven’t really produced MTB riding edits before in the past, so I knew that I was producing something completely new to me, that I was trying to impress a new client. I’m pleased to say the footage came out great, and the edits are looking amazing, I’m hoping they’re to be released in the coming weeks! It was also an insane experience getting to visit Crankworx, and hang out and shoot with so many riders I grew up watching.

So here’s a small selection of images from my trip out there. filming took up a lot of the time, so I didn’t get to shoot as much as I’d like to, but I still got some bangers!

I’ve put together a short photo reel of my time out in NZ which you can check out on my youtube. I’ll post it up once I’ve posted this!

So what’s in store for me now? Well, I’ve just spent the last couple weeks sat at my desk turning work over for a couple clients, but I’m now up to date. It’s been a week or two since I’ve shot anything, so I’m clucking to get behind the lens and produce some more fire. I plan on doing some more content towards my youtube, but more vlog styed. There’s a bit of a niche in the photographic market, so I’m planning on taking it head on, and hopefully by doing so it’ll provide me with a lot of opportunities. You can subscribe to my youtube here...

As always thanks for reading, it’s much appreciated. Go check out my instagram if you have a minute too!

UPDATE ON WORK

Yo people!

Back with another blog post, been a little while since I’ve done one, and I’ve got a relatively free day for once so I thought I’d do a little update!

Crazy to think it’s March already, the year seems to be flying past. Happy we’re finally in Spring though, got the chance to ride my BMX for the first time outside at the local in like 2-3 months, so for me that means the good weather & lights back!

I’ve been up to a lot over the last two months work wise, and I feel as I’ve already developed my understanding of photography and my drive as an artist better than ever.

So, I’ve already been abroad once. Obviously I HAD to go snowboarding, and in doing so I achieved one of my biggest childhood dreams. I remember being sat in the back of my dads BMW year in and out as a kid, gazing up at the mountains whilst driving up its winding road and thinking ‘I want to do this when I grow up’. Little did I know at 10 years old, that in 12 years time I’d have my chance. 2017. An old 5 series full of some of my closest skate park homies and a stack of snowboards, it was happening. It was hands down the sickest trip I’ve had to the Alps, so many good laughs and some super fun laps at the snow park. I’m already itching for the next one. You probably want to see some photos now don’t you?! Haha, there’s a bunch below. Check ‘em out!

In all honesty, I didn’t actually shoot that much whilst I was out there. When I’m in the mountains, I treat it as my down time, so it was actually nice not being behind a camera every day, and just enjoying snowboarding and having fun with my friends. I did shoot on one day, and I filmed a behind the lens as well so I’ll be uploading that to my youtube in the next week or so!

What else has happened then...

I recently started working alongside a professional MTB rider & Red Bull Athlete called Matt Jones, which has been mega sick so far, I felt like I was slipping away from extreme sports work, with is be fair the thing that made me pick up a camera in the first place. So we’ve recently started producing some youtube videos together. Here’s a recent snap from out latest filming session together.

I’ve really been focusing on the automotive stuff as well, I’ve been working even closer with HR Owen recently, and will begin shooting even more of their departments soon, which I’m really excited for. Being a massive petrol head it really does make life easy when I get to shoot things I love, I’m literally combining my passions together and I’m allowed to class it as a job, insane! Like yesterday, I produced a youtube video for their VIP department, and I got to ride in a Lamborghini & Rolls Royce all day. Perks ey! ;)

Here’s a few recent snaps from various photo shoots with their cars.

One of my biggest highlights so far has to be, being invited by Leica cameras to sit in on a talk with Martin Parr, one of the UK’s most established & influential photographers.

It was really interesting listening in on his thoughts about photography and how to shoot strongly. I asked him a question (which I was kacking myself about) and he shot me down a bit early, which was a little embarrassing in all honesty, a room full of people focused on you, and one of the biggest photographers in the country shoots you down. He responded ‘If you want to be a famous photographer, you will fail’ and before even getting the opportunity to respond, his attention was directed to another audience member asking a question.

Sat there thinking I had just made a complete ass of myself to a room full of people, and to Martin, it had kinda of put a complete downer on my mood. Martin Parr had just parred me (lol). But after some reflection later on in the evening on my way home I knew I wasn’t that sort of photographer or even that sort of person. I couldn’t give a sh*t for being famous, because that entails fame, which revolves a lot around bullsh*t, and given how much I detest the obsession this nation has with celebrities and all that nonsense (Celeb gossip, trashy programmes etc) I knew that with myself, it wasn’t the case. I found it a little irritating with what I’d been shut down with earlier on in the evening, after working it all out in my head.

All I want, is recognition (and to have a lot of fun on my journey to it as well) ‘Just judge me on what I put in the frame’. Is it wrong to aspire to achieve huge recognition for your work? I can’t imagine so. A photographer wanting to become big is no different from a band aspiring to be as big as one of their influences, or a starting out scientist who wants to find the cure for cancer. If you don’t reach for the stars then you’re doing it wrong in my eyes. So if I had had the chance to have responded to Marin, it would have been ‘I don’t care to be famous. All I want, is people to see my art, and for it to make them feel some type of way’.

On the topic of Leica camera, I’ve attached a handful of my favourite shots I’ve taken with my little point and shoot Leica, as I am very aware that I’m blabbing on haha. But I guess that’s the point of a blog right?!

You may question why I’m so open about what I do and how I think and to truthfully answer you’re question, its because I grew up at school being pretty reserved of what I thought and wanted to do. I use to be pushed around by teachers, other pupils, and even my parents at times. The second I got kicked out of school and was told I wouldn’t amount to anything, I changed the way I approached my life, I started listening to myself and started doing what I wanted to do, for me. Not for my parents, not for my future boss, not for anyone. I had grown up my whole life listening to everyone else, and it didn't work out, so by doing life the way I wanted to, and approaching it with the attitude of not giving a sh*t what anyone else thought, I can honestly say I’ve had a complete turn around of a life.

Lol sorry for getting all deep. I never intended to preach my life story on this post hahaha, but I’ve never put it out there before like that so why not?

If you read this, then big up to yourself. Got mad love for anyone who show support for what I do and how I shoot. I just can’t put into words how much this sh*t means to me. It’s like a drug for the soul or something.

2017

Welcome back.

Happy New Year to all my returning readers, and if this is your first time checking out my blog, welcome to the home of where I show you more than the photos & videos I take.

This year is gonna be a huge. Just like last year, but with 10x the work rate, 10x the quality of my content, and 10x the enjoyment. I’ve got some huge goals for this year, and I’m already making my way towards achieving them. If I’ve got any advise, its find your passion, find your drive, set goals & smash them. Simple.

Anyway, so what does 2017 hold? I’ll be focusing a lot more on my youtube, with weekly videos, vlogs & more unique content. I’ve decided to really focus on my automotive work this year, as being a huge petrol head I thoroughly enjoy it and it’s also one of my strongest areas of work, so you can expect to see a lot of photos & videos of fancy whips.

My website will be up at the end of this month, something that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, but have only just dialled the style and image I want to present.

You’ll want to follow me on :

As always, love to those who take time out of their day to read my stuff! I’m gonna post up a few videos I’ve recently shared on my youtube so be sure to check them out, and subscribe to my channel!

UPDATE ON WORK

Yoooo people,

So again, I’ve been slacking on my blog, apologies for the delay between posts, its just hard trying to juggle all my social media platforms, shoot, edit, plan for clients and myself and do this sort of thing all at the same time!

Anyway enough of the boring excuses, I’ll get straight in to it.

So over the last couple of months since I updated on here, a lot has gone down and I mean A LOT! I’ve picked up a couple of new, well known clients which I’m very proud of, one to mention is HR Owen, which deal in sports cars and luxury vehicles (Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari etc) and a few others which I’m going to keep quiet for the moment. You’ll soon find out!

I’ve filmed and been involved in a couple of viral videos, travelled to Wales for my first ever road trip in my new car and shot some beautiful scenery and explored the city of Swansea. Shot at a few abandoned locations, to name one, a derelict RAF base based in Cambridge, attended a few car meets, couple events here and there and finally, travelled to Berlin to shoot a video for Adidas in collaboration with Crep Protect.

It’s been pretty full on, and its always is as the year comes to an end, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I get such a buzz off working hard, that, and I literally love what I do, so I can’t complain!

So without any more delay, here’s some content for you to gaze your eyes upon. Make sure you check out the videos too! ENJOY!

A few from Wales - Snowdonia National Park

A few from a day in Swansea city shooting towards a friends university final project (the skate scene in Swansea) as well as getting the odd arty snap in here and there...

A few shots from a recent car meet for HR Owen as well as a nice stock image I took of one of their Lamborghini’s:

And to finish off a couple of images from the abandoned RAF base:

I’ll be doing one last big update before the end of the year to let you guys in on a few things I’ve got planned for 2017. This year has really been a building block for what I’ve got up my sleeve for next year. Itching for it already.

As always, big love to anyone who’s taken time out of their day to read this. You’re the real MVP. Follow me on my various social media accounts to keep up with what I’m up to! I’ve got a few new videos dropping on my youtube so go SUBSCRIBE to my channel!

London Fashion Weekend

Hey guys!

Got something a little different on todays blog post. I was invited down by Canon to join their SM team on an event they held during LFW on Thursday, which gave us access to the photographers pit at the end of a catwalk for a couple of shows, which was honestly a really cool experience!

I had the opportunity to observe what a fashion show looks like for the first time early on in January in Milan, where I got to watch Phillip Plein catwalk a new collection of work, which was done in a rather extravagant way. But I didn’t get to take any photos! So this event with Canon was my first time actually getting to shoot catwalk.

We were there for 2 shows one Trend by Avenue 32 which featured around 20 or so looks featuring velvet, florals & lace, and the other show was a designer, Preen by Thorton Bregazz. Preen designs are worn by high profile women including Diane Kruger, Scarlett Johansson, Cate Blanchett, Carey Mulligan, Kate Bosworth, Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyonce, Rihanna and Michelle Obama.

Below are my best shots from the evening, check em out!

Loads more to come soon so stay tuned for the next post!

UPDATE ON WORK

Yo guys!

Been a whole month since I’ve dropped anything onto my Tumblr so I thought I’d do a big update on what work I’ve been up to, where I’ve been, and what me and my camera have seen!

So, where to begin?

I guess the earliest thing I can remember since I last uploaded onto here was NASS festival, which was an utter flop. I cancelled a considerable amount of work for a client that weekend, Ryan was unable to compete in Finals due to an injury he picked up in practise, and I dropped my fisheye. So as it goes it was pretty diabolical. However, it was cool getting to see some USA homies, chilling with some Pros and shooting some nice snaps. So not all that bad. (still pretty pissed about that fisheye though)

(Kevin Peraza sending the most outrageous super whip I’ve seen in person.)

(Alex Hiam getting clicked out with a 360 table during dirt finals)

(The homie Pat Casey floating a 360 double whip on the first)

(Charlie T was kind enough to let me shoot during her set in the Warehouse)

(Ryan Taylor portrait after the medics patched his shoulder up)

Next, we have Boardmasters Festival.

Ryan was invited down to Boardmasters festival to do a takeover on Canon UK’s instagram page on one day of the event. I’ve got a lot of love for Cornwall so I made sure I’d be around for this one (that and it would have been a real shame to miss out on meeting all the people from Canon UK and shooting the images for the takeover!)

After arriving and having to sleep in the car for the evening we got straight to shooting. The day before we had planned out locations, and ideas for shots so that we could nail it on the day, and that’s exactly what we did. So here’s some of the best Imagery I produced whilst we were at the festival.

(A compulsory sunset photo)

(Ryan has recently been recovering from a broken wrist, so we had to create something BMX based involving himself. I had the idea of getting of the other riders at the event to boost over him with a tuck no hander. Thanks to Jordan Cutts for the air time!)

(The 2nd image Canon chose to post of Ryan adjusting his focus ready to vlog on his Canon 6D)

(our ender for the takeover. We wanted to end on a bang, and produce a photo Canon would not to expect. This was the outcome. I shot this around 400-500 metres away from Ryan’s position.)

Just a bit of evidence so that you know I’m not BSing ;)

What next? I’m starting to have to really think hahaha.

Oh yeah! I went to Barcelona for a quick trip for Crep Protect, which is one of the many clients I freelance for. The goal was to film and shoot various content for their social media platforms, but more importantly it was to produce a banger video for Footlocker.

I was only there for three days, so we had to turn out a lot of stuff in a very shot space of time. Below are a few photographs from the trip, varying in product stuff, some BMX shots, and some personal images.

(A new colour way of the popular Adidas NMDs we shot)

(Anybody for a floating Jordan?)

(Shot from the roof of our hotel in the morning. The light would shine perfectly between two flat blocks. All I had to do was wait for the right subject, and it was as easy as pressing a button lol)

(Exploring the streets of Barca)

(Getting creative with angles. Super stoked on this photo!)

(Ryan really proving to me that he doesn’t give a f*ck. Wall ride fakie in an abandoned skyscraper, next to the edge. I mean wtf man. )

I’ll uploaded the Footlocker Video to my youtube so that I can post it up here for you guys to watch as well!

Lastly, after coming home from Barcelona last Saturday, I had the Notting Hill Carnival to attend the next day, and boyyyyyy did it not disappoint. I didn’t actually realise before arriving, that Crep Protect had the main float for the carnival, which was utter madness. I got to spend the day on the float drinking free beers, talking to cool people, and shooting. Pretty bless haha!

Here’s my favourites from the day:

(Might have to go in my top 10 photographs I’ve taken this year!)

(Armed with a 70-200 2.8 taking photos from the float was almost too easy, and it wasn’t hard to miss me. This lad clocked onto me and my camera and posed for his shot. Big up to you sir)

(Another portrait from the day!)

And that brings us up to date! Been a pretty packed out month or so, which is the way I like it. As always, thank you for reading. I really do appreciate it.

Le Mans 2016

Yo people!

Been a little while since I’ve had the opportunity to sit down and do a bit of personal work as I’ve been mega busy filming and shooting for various clients.

Todays blog post is a little highlight reel from a trip to watch the Le Mans 24 hour race in France a few weeks back. If you’re unaware of what that exactly is, it’s a 24 hour automotive endurance race, argued as one of the biggest car races in the world.

It was my first time to the event, so I didn’t really know what to expect, except for ear piercing exhaust systems, and lots of french people.

The weekend consisted of rain, missing the night time part of the race, a lot of walking, warm beer, oh and photo taking. Of course.

I’m not gonna baffle on any longer as there isn’t to much to talk about. But if you’re a petrol head like myself, I would 1000% recommend it. Check out my favourite shots from the race below!

Other than that, peace out!

CALIFORNIA

Yoooooo what’s good people!

Been a while since I’ve updated my Tumblr as I’ve been mad busy over the last 2 months.

Lol so where do I begin? Probably by stating that this was hands down one of the sickest experiences of my life. So much so that the California lifestyle has swayed me enough to make me want to move there. Hoping to do this in the next couple of years, most likely as a 6 month split at home and 6 months in LA. I don’t think I could possibly abandoned my britishness, you have to embrace where you are from, despite how shitty the UK is. The food is healthier and damn right better, we don’t have silly laws like being able to own guns, and our motorways aren’t 8 lanes wide

The purpose of the trip was to produce two video projects as well as a bunch of photographic content for a company called Crep Protect who are the pioneers of sneaker protections. I’ve been working alongside this company for about 6 months now, and have been lucky enough to pick up a few clients through them, Footlocker to name one.

I’ll elaborate on the videos a little more when they are to be released, as I wouldn’t want to give anything away. But fingers crossed these should go viral, we’re the first people to produce anything like these visuals, so hopefully they should gain some recognition.

I’ve been editing the video content over the last week or so, and in between I’ve been working on all the photographic stuff. Here’s a small selection of my favourite product shots I took whilst out in California:

So in between shooting product photographs and videos for Crep Protect, I’d be exploring the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego with my good friend and work partner Ryan Taylor, who if you aren’t already aware from previously reading my blog, is one of the worlds best BMX riders.

So here’s a selection of my favourite riding imagery I took whilst in the states, a mixture of lifestyle, park and street:

A highlight of the trip for me was getting to meet a lot of Ryan’s other riding homies, a lot of which I looked up to, and spent a lot of my time watching as a kid. A few to name are Ryan Guettler, Pat Casey and Kris Fox. I was actually lucky enough to ride at Pats with Guettler, and a whole bunch of other dudes, which was any riders dream.

Pat by far has one of the sickest home set ups. A beautiful home complete with two youngens, a wife, family dogs, oh and don’t forget the huge ass miniramp, complete with trails. I not only got the chance to ride the ‘Dream Yard’ but I also had the opportunity to shoot and watch him ride from a helicopter. Fuck I love my job.

Amongst these activities I had little time to shoot for myself or do things I’d love to have done like go to the desert or visit the mountains, experience the real California. Next time for sure though.

Here’s the in between bits...

And that concludes my adventure in California. I’ve finished this trip on a mad high. I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve produced and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

As if its only May?

Thanks for reading as always. Seriously appreciated!
