actually the funny thing is that this post is basically describing what researchers now think is the underlying cause in chronic fatigue syndrome (as in there is notable dysfunction in mitochondria that means less ATP is produced, especially under stresses)

No you don’t understand tho my dad literally used to do this. Before 9/11, when airport security was way more lax, my dad’s friend ran an airport scam ring with like 30 of his friends. They would literally do this - waltz on in to the airport, find a gate that looked overbooked, and buy a ticket. Because of the slower computer systems, they could get away with buying tickets seconds before a plane was announced to be overbooked, then offer to give up their seats for the cash.

They also all used to fly under my dad’s friend’s name and racked up like millions of frequent flyer miles. They’re pretty sure that at one point, there were five different guys flying under the same name in the air at the exact same time and the airlines just contacted the guy saying “oh there’s been a glitch.”

They never got caught until my dad’s friend got a passive aggressive letter from Delta in his mail THIS YEAR (15+ years after they stopped) basically saying “we know what you did.”

My sister is pregnant right now with her first baby and today I put my ear up to her stomach and said “what was that?” And she said “what?” So I replied, “he likes the sound of your voice. So strange, I thought he was like me, but he’s not, he’s like you. Good. Pure. He’s happy” and she screamed “YOU CAN HEAR HIM?” and we have not stopped laughing for over a half hour

sob story warning ahead!!

i have 2 reasons i need to save up to 2k to travel to el salvador! one, i need to get some dental work done cuz i have horrible teeth and its WAY WAY WAAAY cheaper down there than it is in the states, my mom was saying around 30 per cavity and some other shit?? idk, so we’re estimating around $1000 for all that but we dont know for sure.

the other reason, this one being way more important to me, is that my grandma on my moms side is 71 years old and we’re pretty sure she’s dying. shes been in and out of the hospital for surgeries that me and my family helped pay for, and my mom hasn’t seen her in over 20 years while ive never seen her ever. id love to meet my grandma and im scared of being the reason why my mom wont get to see her mom one last time before she dies. as far as i know, shes my last biological grandparent. left. both grandparents on my dads side died when i was around 13, we don’t talk about my biological grandpa on my mom side, hes basically cut from the family, and then theres my grandma.

i want to meet my grandma before she passes away, and i know she is incapable of coming down here because its too expensive for her to afford the traveling + her husband (my step grandpa) is 91 years old and needs to have her around. the need to see her asap cuz idk when the fuck shes gonna die ! is stressing me out like hell and my mental health has deteriorated a lot to the point i had to quit my job because i couldnt handle the stress of that and worrying over this!! its a big mess but im looking into getting a new job fdjfnsd

i’ve been stressing out over this more than i let on and i desperately try to distract myself every day. when i’m unable to i get into a crying fit over how scared i am and at this point its probably been 6-7 breakdowns, and while i hate to admit this online, twice ive been to the verge of wanting to attempt on my life and nearly going to but outside things get in the way. i’m. like…not okay. like it gets to the point that if i spend any money at all i get overwhelmed with an immense feeling of guilt and it sucks!!!

my family is paying for other things that i can’t right now like gas for my car as well as my car insurance, my medications/any other necessities i happen to need during this like dog/cat food, cat litter, etc. so im feeling Extra Burden…lol
