the transition in the past two decades from family sitcoms and ‘friends all living together’ sitcoms to workplace comedies signifies a larger shift in how work dominates our lives and leaves no space for traditional family or community raising in this essay i will

It is so fuckin chef's kiss when a character quite obviously Fucks Up and makes a Bad Choice but specifically in a way where you're like. Man idk what I would've done in this situation either.
I post for the bitches that used to get in trouble for reading under the desk during class in elementary school
@indigopersei is the french language just always on the verge of getting someone accused of assault or..?
my friend, if only you knew
It’s a very dangerous language to learn
Here’s an interesting thing about French! Everything needs to have an article in front of it. That’s why it’s “la chat” as opposed to just “chat”. So, for instance, you could say la fille for the girl, or jeune fille for young girl, but you can’t just say fille, because that means you are calling her a sex worker in a derogatory way.
The moral of the story is, if you want to make something rude in French, just take out the article in front of it. Yes, this works for nearly. every. word.
Every year. Every year there’s that kid who forgets that you can’t translate “I am excited” to “Je suis excitée”. And every year Monsieur Jordan has to slam the brakes before that kid can finish his sentence and then tactfully ask him not to announce to the class that he is horny.
“is the french language always on the verge” oh buddy, oh pal, i am so happy to break this news to you:
truly the language of love
Quick question: what the fuck was ilyasaurus about, because absolutely none of what they said is true
my favorite thing to say as a reaction to stuff is “dear lord” i say it at least 10 times a day
mine is “oh jeez” . everyone reblog with your variation
This is monstrous. What she is proposing is a literal crime against humanity.
No exaggeration. No hyperbole. One of the justices of the Supreme Court is proposing that the country should violate human rights en masse.
And when we finally kill the gods neither hell nor heaven will be waiting for them because they created those to imprison us
burned my eggs and got mad sorry lol
There’s something truly exquisite about stories where the real tragedy is the price you paid to stand on top of the world
Hollow victories … sacrificing your humanity on the altar of what you perceive to be the greater good … the loneliness of godhood … regret for the person you used to be … the realisation that there is no way back … *chef’s kiss*
what you need to understand about recommending a show to me is that no matter how much we both know I'll like it, I can't watch it until the Neurodivergence Department in my brain approves it. I don't know when that will be, and I don't have any more control over it than you do.
crash
i Know antipasto means appetizer but i still like to believe that it refers to pasta’s archnemesis

If you don’t want to read the article, the problem is they make production slow to a crawl, so doing three frames with complicated eyes in them will take about two hours. The average pay for one frame is 200 yen, which comes out to about two dollars. These are grown ass adults doing their fulltime job to pay their bills. And these god awful eyes are making them do two hours of work to earn six dollars.
The detailed eyes are not a good thing.
Actually no.
The detailed eyes are not the issue and not what should be criticized.
Japan’s animation industry is *grossly* abusive to it’s employees. Animators are constantly being forced into crunsh for minimal pay.
Animation jobs should be saleryed. The entire concept of “compensation per fram” is absolutely horrible and is what we should focus our energy on.
Like how can you read “These people get paid 6 bucks for 2 hours of work” and blame the thing they produced rather then the industry model that causes them to be so grossly under payed?
