Licia Ronzulli, member of the European Parliament, has been taking her daughter Vittoria to the Parliament sessions for two years now.

Every time this is on my dash, it’s an automatic reblog.

It's Disney Time! (Almost...)

I am packing tonight for a weekend at Disneyland! I am pretty excited to say the least. This vacation is overdue. I am also very excited to kick off my running season! This is the first of four half marathons, with a marathon relay and 10k thrown in for fun. I am also totally stressed about the actual process of packing. I am terrified that I might forget my shoes or sports bra, or gels. Ugh... it also means two loads of laundry to make sure I don't forget anything. Deep breaths, my zen will be the moment I get on the first plane. Less than 22 hours to go! :)

Adding a rice cooker/veggie steamer to the wedding registry may be one of the best choices I have made in a long time. Fresh steamed veggies without having to half boil them in a pot of water makes for much more tasty veggies. :)

Shalane

I am so glad that I kept the Boston live feed running on my computer today. Watching Shalane's fierce determination was very motivating going into my next half marathon next weekend. The only thing that would have made today better is if she would have won. There is always next year and she has already said she will be back. I am also so glad that I had the opportunity to see her run in New Orleans last February. She flew by so fast, I didn't realize it was her until she was gone.

I am just having one of those days where you just want to crawl into bed and start over again.  I woke up this morning and looked around my bedroom and I could see everything so clearly.  It really freaked me out because I am blind without my contacts.

Then I blinked a few times and my eyes started to burn.  Yep, slept with my contacts in.  Ugh.  Now my left eye is twitching uncontrollably.

I just want to make it through my run tonight, but first I have to survive 6 more hours in the office.  There may be a Community Coffee run in my future.

Bachelorette Weekend

My bachelorette weekend was an amazing time with private wine tours and tastings, awesome tex mex, and some fantastic people watching.  Austin is a pretty cool place.

Of course my bachelorette party would not be complete without a run on the riverside trail through downtown.  Just a 4 miler, but it made the weekend that much better. :)

And yes, I have a long run planned for the morning of my wedding.

I am really excited to get my first training run in tonight.  We should have gotten a run in on Tuesday, but I draw the line at freezing rain and icy roads.

Tonight is an easy 2 miler, then a date with some vegetarian tortilla soup!

2014 Race Season

Wow, it has been a long time since I have gotten on here and actually posted something.  With our wedding at the end of March, my fiance and I have been signing up for races as a little extra motivation to get out the door.  And to achieve my goal of getting a Disney Coast to Coast medal this year!

We will be running the Flying Pirate Half Marathon in NC over the first weekend in May.  It will be my first race in NC and we will get to celebrate our post wedding move.  Then we will fly to Cali in August to run the Disneyland Half.  We will be finishing this year's marathin season by running the Disney Wine and Dine Half at Disney World in November.  My favorite race!

It is still crazy to think about how different life will be by then.   First a wedding and a big move await!
