I know Beast Busters has been on a little hiatus, mostly because I wasn’t coming up with any ideas. But I got a few in the tank so I’m eager to get back to it!

I’ve only watch a few episodes so far. I’d be lying though if I said it wasn’t hard to watch. Not just because of the staff discourse but just the animation and art style seem very bland. But thats all stuff you’ve heard from long tumblr posts before.
I’ll probably keep watching it, solely on the purpose that there is gay babs.

New Sour Candy Icons! Ash and Grimmia!
I’m very proud to share this with all of you! For my Media Studies course, we were tasked with creating a “mood reel”. Which is basically a video showing off who we are and what inspires us. So if you ever wanted to know what I’m all about, this is the video to watch. I worked very hard on this so I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did making it <3.
This was also my first time doing any big video editing, so I apologize if its a little rough. Also if you pay attention, you might spot some lovely animations by the even more lovely @genevievetsai ;).

Worked on this girl for 9 months. Now this new music video comes out and she’s immensely popular, arguably one of the most popular characters in the LoL universe.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m really glad she’s a huge hit, it’s super exciting to see so many people love the character design and the gameplay, and know that I contributed directly and significantly to the behind-the-scenes engineering that makes it all work. It’s validating.
But it’s also so fucking melancholy to know I did so much work and put in so much time for such a shitty company, run by shitty people, and the reward I got for it was unemployment.
I threw a lot into this character. I cried at work. I started getting panic attacks, which I’ve never gotten before. I developed persistent heart palpitations from the daily overwhelming stress and had to go to the hospital (this is true, seriously.) I basically dropped all my friends outside of work. My manager (and his manager!) lied to me constantly to keep me working. They said I was doing a great job but to keep it up. Don’t worry, it’s going to turn out great, and it’ll all be worth it in the end – recognition, a raise, probably a promotion in short order. They promised me the world. When she was finally finished, I didn’t even get to go to the release party, they just walked me out.
I remember a quote from my last day, it sticks out in my mind: “I know you realize this is really hard for me,” my manager said. Yes, in the end, when he awkwardly informed me I didn’t have my dream job anymore – or any job at all – and then stared back at my shell-shocked face, my thousand-yard stare, the only thing he felt was sorry for himself.
She launched with no major bugs and was considered a technical success. Doesn’t matter. Get the fuck out.
I don’t know how I feel. A weird sensation of pride and intense bitterness. I did a good job; at least, I think I did. Unfortunately, internal validation is the only kind I’m going to get.

Grimmia De Lotte, 25
Ash’s now best friend and “companion”. When Ash transferred to a campus, Grimmia was the only one who could stand being around her. She didn’t have many friends to begin with, most people found her very odd and a little off putting. Ash took a liking to her and “decided” they should become friends. Grimmia not really caring what others did or thought, decided to go along for the ride. Even though deep down she enjoys the company, you couldn’t tell what she was feeling because of her constant boring attitude. She likes collecting cute and spooky things and never goes anywhere without her ghost backpack.
Grimmia is practically the only person that can put up with Ash’s attitude. This comes from her somewhat pompous and mono personality. She has the incredible ability to keep weirdly calm in any situation which makes her a good voice of reason.

Ashley (Ash) Griffin, 27
Ashley was Raven’s partner before Clover, a long time ago. The two grew up together in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools, never left each others side. They started out as friends, getting into rumbles with local boys, but along the way they found out that they wanted more with each other than just picking fights. Unfortunately in the end, Ash’s bad habits and controlling behavior drove Raven away. Now, finding where her ex partner in crime has been all this time, she hopes to take back what’s hers. But is there room in this relationship for 3? How will Ash test Raven and Clovers relationship? Ash is hard as nails and twice as stubborn. Her devil may care attitude can come off as unappealing to most. Often very manipulative to get what she wants, and is willing to put up a fight to keep it. A lot like Clover, she tends to be really chill most of the time. But she has a habit of pushing peoples buttons, mostly on purpose. She also has the constant aroma of tobacco.
