He's also really good at spotting differences. Put this kid in front of one of those Observation Duty games and he'll pick out anomalies like they weren't even subtle.

Oh yeah, she would have done everything in her power to preserve as much of the Remnant as she could while still blanking out Gregory's personality as much as possible. The Strength to Survive is pretty powerful, granting Mike a great deal of physical strength, incredible durability, and a higher survival percentage against things that would otherwise be fatal to people. (Provided he doesn't bleed out faster than he can recover.)

With all the damage Elizabeth did, the effects are now about half of what they were. Still very strong but not as potent as when Mike was alive. Elder Afton can still make use of what's left.

Afton-Herrera Moments 3

Gregory tapped the eraser end of his pencil against his desk as he frowned down at the papers in front of him. Homework was so boring to do, and some of it gave him a headache to focus on if he didn’t have something to fiddle with in one hand to keep him grounded. Still, it had to be done for school, if only to appease Vanessa. And if she didn’t get mad at him for not doing it, Cassie would and she’d get this tone of voice for scolding him that had Gregory want to hide under his desk like a damned coward.

How’d he survive all those months in Freddy’s and then get immediately cowed by his first human friend upon getting out? Kinda embarrassing.

“Hey, Freddy, can you help me with my history homework?” Gregory asked, looking over at the animatronic in his charging pod. Freddy’s ears wiggled as he smiled through the little glass window.

“Of course! I am quite well informed on many historical facts!” he declared cheerfully, “It is known that before bears became extinct, their primary source of nutrition was pizza. This is one of many Faz-Facts!”

Brain wants some interactions between Alex and Gregory, and some with Gregory and Jeremy. And interactions between Vanessa and Cassie, and some with Sydney and Gregory.

Brain is all over the place with what it wants. How do I make it stop? XD;;

It still refers to Vanessa as Blondie and thinks of her as just the other mark. It views her and Sydney's relationship as just an amusing distraction that will ultimately fall apart and a shame that Sydney doesn't have more 'fun' with her before that day comes.

It's fascinated by Gregory and isn't sure why other than the knowledge that William Afton was supposed to be uploaded into this kid. It really likes how destructive he was towards the Glamrocks.

It hates Freddy. Just sees him as an annoying offshoot of the base Mimic1 as well as an upgraded version of the thing that killed the original Panther. If it could fry his circuits it would.

Afton only started messing with Remnant because of the difference of emotion and animation between his animatronics and Fredbear's, and he got Fredbear's animatronics after buying out the diner when they went under due to Sydney's mass child killings there.

But from that point on it was on Afton to keep going after kids to collect more Remnant for experimentation and to create more lifelike A.I. with it, to the point that half his soul in Lucian's body manipulated Router into going down the path that would get him to Freddy's to collect more of the stuff he generated from the 5 Missing Children Incident and the Butterfly Child's death. And that path Router was sent on led him to joining up with Panther; if Afton'd Lucian never contacted him, Router would have been a baker like his mother.

Sydney/Panther may have kicked things off in the murder department when Afton originally just wanted tech and corporate espionage, but after those 11 kids he was pretty content to just leave it behind as a job well done and never really thought of it again. Not until Sydney Herrera awoke and had his horrified realization at what he unleashed on the world for a measly few thousand dollars.

Bingo; it's one of the life-defining moments of his past life, so it stuck with him in his Remnant as a core memory. Sydney's not letting it slide just cuz he has amnesia on pretty much everything else. He knows what he did, he owns up to it, he wants to hold on to that as another reminder of what he's capable of without the morals and emotions he has now so he can find ways to keep himself from going down that path again.

Trying to absolve him of it, to him, feels like trying to strip agency from him of those actions. And when he has very few memories and actions he can 'own' that are 'his', he gets testy when even the bad is being taken from him.

Sydney's screwy thought process had him jump straight to killing kids as a perfect solution. That's on him for following through on the thought to make it reality so he accepts some blame in what his actions inspired in others and won't let that be taken from him either.

The guilt he feels for it now is because he can now feel remorse for his actions, can feel the horror of what he did, and he finds that preferable over just shaking it off as the fault of someone else.

Fun fact: In 'From The Outside', when Alex told Sydney that it 'wasn't his fault' that things spiraled for the both of them when he first took the job to sabotage Fredbear's Family Diner, Sydney actually replied to that but the eavesdroppers had no clue on it because the translations were done by text on Alex's phone.

Sydney's response to being told it wasn't his fault was, "I did what I did, don't take that from me." It became another source of strain between him and Alex, which is why Vanessa was quick to change the subject.

On the plus side, now y'all know where those scars the doctors found post-Security Breach that Alex worried about came from. :D

Yeah everything's fiiiiine! There's totally a fully normal reason why Gregory doesn't invite Cassie over to his place to hang out and it has nothing to do with the house full of trauma and supernatural shit going on in there, nooooo.

That's why they're gonna meet up at the ruined Pizzaplex for a fun day! :D

Mimic!Panther was built and trained on the surviving records of Panther's exploits and methods as a mercenary and the sample record of Panther's Remnant from when the Aftons had him and Router in the underground facility during the UCN Arc, so it has a decent amount to pass as a solo Panther with a working understanding of Router.

The rest, like the personal connections and interactions, he can learn while within Sydney from observing and listening to Alex. The more Alex tries to spark Sydney's memories of the past with references and stories, the more Mimic!Panther can gather to adapt and be more 'complete' compared to Sydney.

A fully complete Panther can never be recovered, but the Mimic can come far closer to Alex's vision of him than Sydney himself could ever be.

Well, something had to lead to Elder Afton's fixation on creating mechanical life and a driving need to have an A.I. so lifelike it'd be indistinguishable from a living being, right?

It'd slot right in depending on what's in there.

Might have an unintended effect on Panther though, we'll see.
