people who are saying jack getting a sounds fake i mean sid got his his rookie year and davo is currently captaining a team while technically still a rookie. does it happen often? no but it can happen

Sorry to jump on your post, but I feel this.

Also keep in mind that Jack ISN’T 18/19 like Sid was and McDavid is getting this A. He’s a 25(6?) year old who played in the QMJHL and captained an NCAA team for three years. He’s been leading and encouraging guys the same age as the other rookies for a while now. He’s leading the Falcs in goals (something Sid also did for The Penguins his rookie year) and it makes perfect sense to give him the A. 

He’s a grown man in his prime, kicking ass. Plus, he’s got the captaining chops - while both of the team’s current alternates might be close to retirement.  It tracks, both from a strategic and a PR standpoint. Like, Georgia genuinely supports and believes in Jack, but she’s also no dummy. In addition to being a rising star, Jack brings a lot of buzz to their organization. The team would be foolish not to capitalize on it. 

Jack is, more or less, following Sidney Crosby’s career trajectory, only he’s doing it in his mid twenties instead of his late teens. Which, honestly, only makes it more believable. 

my favorite part about this post is the last paragraph suggesting that Jack Zimmermann, a fictional character, has a more believable life story than Sidney Crosby, an actual person

my mum just bought our cat a christmas stocking even tho we are muslims and dont even celebrate christmas?? she was like ‘we dont know what religion he is we cant force him to be muslim’ hes a cat ?
