Holy shit.... Never Again Action (the group who started #JewsAgainstICE) had an ICE detention truck drive through them while they were shutting down Wayne Detention Center in Rhode Island this evening (August 14th).

Like they were holding the line across the entry gate and refusing to let night shift guards in and a massive truck just, fucking, drove up to them then slowed as the protestors got up from where they were sitting, alarmed, then the truck accelerated into people.

It doesn't seem like there are any serious injuries. The people who were around the truck after it stopped accelerating into people were pepper sprayed.

The truck was driven by an ICE guard.

As this information is publicly available, the law in the US does not consider this doxxing, which is why it was on twitter on the first place. Here's the guy.

Its the same people. If you can stomach working for ICE its because you're a right-wing fascist. Same tactics, different day.

i love how every democrat except for like 2 is like “we should have a public option for healthcare AND a private option, so that private insurance companies can lobby super hard to make sure the public option doesn’t cover anything and then we can say universal healthcare doesn’t work”

Also I’m really so sick of hearing “they’re going to take you off your employer health insurance! people love their insurance!” no, no they don’t. they do not. i have literally not met a single person who likes their employer insurance. if they do, they realize the system is fucked and that health insurance should not be tied to your employment.

“they’re going to raise taxes on the middle class!” employer health insurance takes a huge chunk out of every single paycheck you make. you’re exchanging that, and all the garbage that insurance companies don’t cover or charge you for anyway for literally pennies.

“how will we pay the 30 bajillion dollars required for medicare for all???” we already pay that with our healthcare system. we have plenty of companies and rich pieces of shit that don’t pay taxes that should, that could easily pay for it. how is this still a question

also the current healthcare system isn’t a mess or expensive because of public healthcare as people claim, it’s because pharma lobbyists actually pushed against the public option and gave us a watered down policy.

pharma lobbyists are also already prepared to take down medicare for all right now when it’s just a proposal so I wouldn’t be surprised if the same issue arose. this is called regulatory capture, when private corporations turn government policy away from public interests and towards theirs. healthcare is a VERY captured agency. that’s liberal democracy babey

I love the parallel between the way Aaron and Jefferson is holding up Miles…

Aaron: Swaying from side to side, holding miles legs by the front not all the way around his legs/ankles and miles having to shift his feet to stay steady.

(Is not stable for miles and not completely keeping miles safe and could get him hurt)

Jefferson: Holding still, holding miles legs by having his hands around miles legs/ankles, miles don’t need to shift to be steady.

(Is stable for miles and makes sure he is safe and make sure he can not be hurt)

I thought of something different when I saw this. Jefferson is steady holding Miles because he has experience in it. When he and Aaron were growing up and getting into trouble, I’m sure Aaron did the handiwork while Jefferson held him up. He knows the drill. Aaron is all shaky because he’s used to being the one up top.
