two lives down, seven to go

Six years ago  the universe asked itself the question whenever Senna will be able to save herself or not

It was a perfect day. Today, Lioness wasn’t so sure whenever others would consider this option as much a yes as she did. Most normal people would probably think that ending a life was the same as not saving it.

But she was different, and a year in solitude further alienated her from what one would call ‘normal people’.

She was a warrior, a templar deep at heart, and even if it wasn’t because of hatred for being undead anymore, the templar mind was still the cause for her thoughts to gravitate towards this kind of solution.

The cliff was high, the ocean deep, and she couldn’t swim to save her life just like always. The sun shone high, warmly. The breeze was light and refreshing. A perfect day.

There was no fear, no sorrow, no regret, when she closed her eyes and made a tiny step forward, losing the soil from under her feet. Maybe a slight worry - but for others, not herself.

She was finally making a step towards freedom today.

A perfect day for a last day.

===

((thank you everyone for accompanying me in this adventure. Senna’s - and Lioness’ - story was a wild ride, and I will treasure this episode for a long time. But all things come to an end, and so did this.

She welcomed death, not as an enemy, but as an old friend.

Lioness chose freedom in death, because she learned that her trying so hard to stay alive was nothing different than undeath. She remembered that she used not to be afraid of dying.

This is a storytelling cover for me leaving this character that I needed to do for many reasons. I needed to wrap up her story - should’ve probably done it with Senna’s death, but didn’t and so today your muses will be making their farewells to Kitten, not Senna per say.

This also marks an end to this blog, and this character. I will not continue Senna nor Lioness as a person, but it does not mean that I’m done with RPing. I keep coming back to this community and I sure as hell will be back Soon ™ with a new story to be told.

With regards,

Aque alias Senna-mun // @iriascend

Dear Abbs...

I hesitated long enough before writing this, and if I know anything about you, you already know what I’m aiming to do by the time you read this.

You won’t be able to stop me though, no matter how powerful you ever became.

Don’t weep. There’ll be plenty of people you’ll hold dear in the following centuries of your life. I am not cut for longevity, and I’m not cut for the multi-soul deal.

I chose my own path. I don’t know what’ll happen to your part. Or what will happen at all. I know you prevented me numerous times from doing this - one way or another - and I wholeheartedly think this time it is nor desperate, but right.

I was alive, yes - but at what cost? I hope this will bring peace to my troubled existence. Instead of clinging to life in the wicked, difficult form it became, I welcome death. Not as an enemy, but as an old friend, just like you welcomed darkness.

I hope you’ll understand. I hope this one time, you’ll recognise me as an adult I think I’ve finally became, even compared to your thousands of years of maturing.

There are no blessings I could offer you, for you have everything you need. May you never lose it.

With love,

Kitten

Dear Tobias...

My heart felt a tingle for you, but our paths didn’t seem to cross just often enough for that ember to kindle a fire.

I am grateful for the care and warmth you gave me anyway. I would not be who I am, or where I am, without you.

Farewell, this time for good. Keep the hat.

Do not weep, or miss me. We both knew, somewhere deep, that this was ought to happen one day or another. You have so much more before you. So do I. I’m off to find it.

May your deals always be favourable, and your hat in place. May your heart always find its way home.

With love,

Kitten

Dear Kruul...

There are by far too many things I wanted, but couldn’t explain to you. I am not a very good teacher, and you are not a very good learner. I’m sorry.

I hope you’ll grow to understand this one decision of mine, even if you failed to understand them in the past. I will finally be happy and peaceful, if that means anything.

I’m sorry.

Goodbye. Farewell.

I’m sorry.

Dear Kirtasen...

You are so young, and your guidance led me to places I’d never get to alone. Your words and presence were help sometimes by far greater than anything I can imagine.

It is by your aid that I could survive this all, and there is nothing I can do to thank you properly.

I do have, though, one final favour to ask: sing for me. Sing not to weep, not to honour, not to save. Sing to remember. Sing to write down my story, so that it is never repeated, but learned from. I aim to welcome death, for once not as an enemy, but as an old friend - something you might, out of all people, understand.

You will be a wise and honoured Singer in the future, as you are one now already. Your heart is strong and big, and that is all the souls need.

Bless you, and safe travels. May your voice never fade.

With love,

Lioness

Dear Rai...

I learned to write properly just so I could send you this, and I swear to Maker, if the letter doesn’t make it to you because some forsaken postman had a bad day, I’m going to flip tables.

That aside, I wanted to tell you that I’m grateful for everything. I know you’re a busy man, for someone that lives as peaceful and slow life as you do now, but I still like to think you remember me. Because I remember you, and everything you did for me. You’re my friend, my protector, my brother in arms - and that’s more than I ever asked for from an Ionian.

We will not meet again. I chose my path - I found a path thanks to you, but now I chose my path. It does not cross with yours anymore.

Do not weep, or whatever it is that you do when you might be saddened because I don’t think you weep at all at things this trivial. It is a good path. One that will bring me not only continuation, but peace, stability and closure.

May your sword be always sharp, and your mind always precise. May there be no heavens you wouldn’t be able to pierce. May your arm lead your strikes guided by your eyes.

Stay safe, friend.

With blessings,

Lioness

Announcement: hiatus

You probably already noticed I hadn’t been on here for… a long time.

I have no excuse. It’s not real life coming in the way, not mood swings, not stress or anything other.

I simply lost the muse. Not even specifically for Kitten - more like for text-based roleplay altogether. I do not know what happened, just one day I wasn’t able to write a single word for RP at all, and it continued.I thought it was a writer’s block, but I wasn’t even able to think about it, it simply seemed bland and uninteresting.

And so, I stopped even logging in onto this account.

I’m sorry, especially since I’m in the middle of a couple RPs. I don’t know when/if I’ll be back - I’m certainly not deleting this account! I’ll wait to see if maybe one day I’ll come back to RPing, if there’s anything to come back to by then.

In the meantime, for those that want to keep in touch with the mun herself, my personal blog that I’m still active on is here:

You can also always ask for my Skype via fanmail/ask there.

Cheers!

• Use the hand you write with.
• Make a fist with your thumb outside, not tucked inside. If it’s tucked inside your fist, when you punch someone, you might break your thumb. The thumb goes across your fingers, not on the side.
• Don’t be like in the movies—don’t aim for the face. Face punches don’t usually stop people, and you can miss when they duck their head or break your hand on their jaw. If you want to get away quickly, or end a fight, aim for the chest, or the ribs. If you really want to do some damage, e.g., you’re being attacked, aim for the throat, which will make it hard for your attacker to breathe for a hot minute.
• When you punch, you want to aim and hit with your first two knuckles. Not the flats of your fingers, and not your ring or pinky knuckles, which can break more easily. You can use your weight, if you’re on your feet, to add wallop, and spring into a punch with your feet and torso.
Useful information, esp. if you haven’t taken self defense.
I reblogged this once before to add this and I’ll do it again…
keep your wrist straight.
You can also risk breaking your wrist if you allow it to bend.  I actually can’t believe this isn’t in there.

Other good pointers:

  • if your attacker is male, go for his junk - especially if he’s wearing loose pants. There’s no sportsmanship when it comes to assault so fuck them balls UP
  • punching pretty much ANYWHERE in the face is going to actually hurt you a LOT (just think - you’re punching your bones into their bones and ow). If you’re going for the face, my suggestion is to strick upwards with your palm.

see that meaty portion highlighted in red? There’s a lot of muscle and fat right there which makes it excellent for striking. Hold your hand as shown and aim for the nose or chin (though I’ve been told in extreme circumstances, doing this to the nose can be fatal but I’ve never really heard if this is true or not) and just aim upwards

  • other delicate areas:
  • the shin (hurts like a bitch if you kick it right - also, you can hit this spot if you’re being held in a choke-hold and if your attacker has to move in order to stop you from kicking him, he’ll have to angle his body so as to expose his stomach and crotch to the wild spastic jabbings of your elbows)
  • the solar plexus (either jab while holding your hand in a sort of spear position or use your elbows - unless you’re super strong, your punch probably won’t wind your attacker. Your elbow or a spear hand will, however)

Originally in (most) martial arts, you hit the solar plexus because it supposedly contained an important chakra. Now we know that it actually also contains like a bunch of necessary organs that are exposed just below your ribs and is also (roughly) where your diaphragm lives so getting punched there is not pleasant.

  • the clavicle (from experience, getting hit in your clavicle HURTS LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER. If you strike downwards with your knuckles, the person might just cry. Like I did.)
Image
  • the ear (this is probably the best place to punch besides the throat. It’s all cartilage so it probably won’t hurt you all that much and most people will be like “DUDE YOU PUNCHED ME IN THE EAR WHAT THE HELL”)
  • the kidneys (this is harder to hit without training but if you somehow get your attacker’s back to face you, try to hit’em in the kidneys. Again, from experience, this FUCKING HURTS. You can’t really hit the kidneys from the front with any effect but from the back it is super painful)
Image
  • if you’re held in a choke-hold, try turning your head so the forearm isn’t pressed into your throat. If you can position yourself right, you can sort of force your chin into the crook of the elbow, making you able to still receive (limited) oxygen and provide time for you to kick some shins or elbow some spleens and shit

-Also, remember that a guy’s junk is not an off-button. Don’t think that you can rely on a swift kick to the balls to immediately incapacitate him in an emergency. Adrenaline and anger can keep somebody going for a long time even through extreme pain, and if you expect to end a fight with a single groin-attack you might be caught off-guard when he doesn’t drop. Certainly go for it if you get the chance, but keep hitting him until the fight is over.
-Draw blood if you can, especially if you can draw it from the face or the eyes. Blood in the eyes is not just a good way to impair your attacker’s vision, it’s also a really good way to freak them out and let them know that they might be getting more than they bargained for by picking a fight with you.
-Elbows and knees are really powerful weapons. Elbows are very sharp and very strong and if you are in close-range they are often more effective than trying to throw a punch.
-Yelling and shouting makes you scary.

Nothing much to add to this, it’s pretty much all there. So. Reblog. Oh, also, it’s really easy to break a nose - go for the eyes too. All it takes to avoid a shot to the throat is tucking your chin. Also, that part about the ear - don’t punch. An open hand over the ear hurts a lot.

Also if you fuck up their face it’ll be easier for police to identify the attacker.
If someone gets you from behind and you cant punch them, go for the underside of the upper-arm. A bad pinch there is legit so painful because that skin is super sensitive. Also this cant be stressed enough, if the attacker is a guy then fucking rip his junk off.
When throwing a punch:

And a kind of karate chop style blow to the throat will drop him quicker than a kick to the balls because it will cut off his airway, and is often harder to block than a punch, and takes less effort on your part than a punch.

Don’t forget Gracie Hart’s advice SING: solar plexus, instep, nose, and groin. If your attacker comes up behind you throw your elbow into his stomach, stomp hard on his foot, punch him in the nose, and kick him in the groin.
