Will anyone really understand me? Maybe not understand but accept. Time will tell.

Yes this makes perfect sense!!! When you get robbed or assaulted… Let’s call the police, we’ll call the police! They’ll come help us the best they can.

Oh but this 1% of officers are bad and we should spit on every single police officer we see now

This gets me really angry, the police do a very good service, especially in the UK. Respect for them…

"1% of officers are bad so we should spit on every one of them"

Again, their personal behavior is less important than the institutional function they serve.

You’re thinking in terms of “all cops are bad” when really this means “police, no matter how good of a person they are, are still police”

My point is just because some cops are bad does not mean the institution they serve is bad. Are you really that stupid to say that the police as an INSTITUTION is bad, go on. Tell me all your knowledge on how you know how bad the police are as an organisation, it must be extensive. Those damn police protecting us damn. I’m sorry but what the hell do you have against the police service?

Well there’s institutional racism, enforcement of unfair property rights, suppression of freedom of speech, eviction of otherwise homeless from vacant homes, suppression of the right to assembly, unsolicited privacy invasion, encouragement of aggressive tactics, enforcement of laws without questioning their validity (ie cops arresting black people sitting at white-only bars during segregation), fraternal order of police (organization that is the voice for the police in America) routinely sponsor legislation allowing greater leniency for officers in police brutality cases such as if an officer is found guilty of assault he can be disciplined by the station rather than doing time like any other citizen, intentional cover-up operations, war on drugs, police officers are involved in disproportionally higher domestic violence cases against their spouse or children than most other occupations, police have revenue maintenance meaning they are given incentive to invest in punishment rather than prevention of crime, given the authority police officers are more likely to develop a sense of superiority and act out imagined power, and lastly the idea that we create an environment that breeds crime from totally legal evils, and punish those that are the result of what was created by the people at the top.
