I try to shy away from generational-reductionist politics, but I really do think all of these sanctimonious US government slugs who belong in a retirement home are deeply, achingly pining for an idealized past where the only sources of information were Respectable News Outlets i.e. three cable news outlets and a handful of Imperialist stenographer rags they had complete, unquestioned credibility in and authority over, and the thought that the majority of politically active people are now receiving the war crimes and Imperialist atrocities beamed straight into their hands keeps them up at night. I think the thought of angry college students occupying campuses watching IOF stormtroopers do TikTok dances on some family's bombed out home gives them fucking ulcers they have to take gross horse pills to treat.
