***TW earwig story***

I’ve told this story before, but it’s been a while so let’s rehash some trauma. This horror story took place about seven years ago. While getting ready for bed I grabbed my water bottle, took a big swig from the straw and immediately realized something was very very wrong. There was something small and solid in my mouth. Not ideal. Worse yet it was wiggling. I immediately go to spit out the contents of my mouth onto the floor, but before I am successful I feel a stabbing pain on the tip of my tongue. As I looked down to the damp carpeting, I see an earwig scurrying off under my bed. That little shit pinched me. ON MY TONGUE! I was too traumatized to retaliate.

What with bugs being the primary subject matter for my artwork I really don’t have any insect related phobias, with one exception. Until the day I die I will have a Magnus Archives level fear of these little bastards. Anyway, here’s a cuddly silk earwig named Brutus, and remember, kids, always check your straws
