I think it’s very telling how much fanboys loved Harley Quinn when she was a ‘fun, quirky psycho’ and thought of her as one of the sexiest female comic characters while she was stuck in a toxic relationship where she was abused constantly but still loved and defended her abuser, but now that she’s away from the Joker and no longer loves him, and is making important relationships with other women, she’s been ‘ruined’.

I've been a geek for a long time, I've met in person DC fanboys, Marvel fanboys, Male gamers, and Star Trek fanboys and the conclusion is the same, there is no toxic cis man worse than geek fanboys. They feel absolutely threatened whenever any woman gets any sort of power. They hate independent Harley Quinn, Captain Janeway, Wonder Woman, and Captain Marvel and God forbid a female Gamer beat them at fucking Fortnite...

sometimes i think how in the lok comics they said kyoshi was known to love both men and women and it makes me sad bc it means she was with someone other than rangi bc rangi fucking died in like the first third of her life :(

We don't know that for sure though, a person does not need to be with BOTH sexes to be bisexual. They could be with only a woman or only a man their entire lives and that wouldn't change the fact that they were bisexual. The comics saying that Kyoshi was known to be bisexual only proves that Kyoshi identified that way, it doesn't mean she was with a man. Just sayin... Maybe Rangi learned the technique and stayed with her for over two centuries, or maybe she died in her regular life cycle and Kyoshi never loved another, or maybe she did love another. We don't know and her being confirmed as bisexual in the comics is proof of nothing but her sexual identity.

For Transmasc Allies: Alternatives to ‘Handsome’

I made this list because, for a lot of trans guys, ‘handsome’ makes up 90% of the compliments we get, and can become overused and lose its meaning for us, even if it comes from a genuine place. don’t get me wrong, handsome is a lovely word (and I personally like it a lot), but there are plenty more validating masculine complimentary words out there you can use for your transmasc friends/relatives/partners !!

Instead of just ‘handsome’, try also using:

- dashing

- distinguished

- dreamy

- spiffy

- sharp

- charming

- sleek

- sunny

- chipper

- suave

- dapper

- grand

- regal / kingly / princely / knightly

(and some silly ones:)

- hunky

- macho

- boyfriend material / husband material

- fiery / Flamin’ Hot (be careful with “flaming” tho - can be used as a gay slur)

(note: ofc these terms can be used for anyone regardless of gender, I just included them if I felt they seemed more masculine or had a traditionally masculine usage. feel free to add or correct!)
