Apparently when male penguins fancy a lady, they start bringing her pebbles (my wife saw this in a documentary). They just start collecting pebbles and dropping them at her feet as gifts. So my wife says I bring her pebbles when I do this. I’m a pebbler.
None of the kids at a gaming con play test booth knew how to use a mouse and keyboard. So they replaced it with a controller. Then half the kids walking up brushed the controller aside and tried touching the monitor.
😱
Anyone know why I don't have options to change any of these Tumblr blog settings? I want to opt out of AI crap, but... I can't?
New Helldivers 2 evac strat just dropped 😆
Joined a lobby with this jokester and nearly pissed myself laughing.
Sorry about the YouTube audio overlaid in here (Space Ice making fun of a Steven Seagal movie), I can't find how to stop NVIDIA's capture tool from doing that.
When you accidentally put your campfire too close to your egg incubator 😄 (incubator said it was 'a little cool' so I thought maybe it needed a heat source to incubate faster)

Love this: a museum of internet artifacts, including the first email, Line Rider, an early Netflix website, Space Jam, and the first mp3. Some them are interactive — try signing on to AOL.
Getting inspired to write is actually really easy! All you need to do is be the busiest you've ever been in your entire life and as far away from a computer as humanly possible. Hope this helps 🥰

Twitter has a new ad format that doesn't disclose it's an ad, doesn't display an advertiser name or @ user handle, and cannot be reported or blocked
This is also after Twitter nuked rich media previews for links. They clearly took a page from Facebook's "pivot to video" playbook and are trying to force publishers to post full content entirely on Twitter instead of sending people off the app with links.
I still struggle to accept the narrative that these are genuine decisions with the goal of saving Twitter
It sure seems to me like Elon Musk bought Twitter to shut it down, but obviously he couldn't just yank the plug right away. The next best option? Gradually steer it into the ground with a series of objectively awful decisions and hey why not double down on hate and platforming hate mongers.
After all, what do bigoted billionaires hate just as much, if not more, than paying their fair share in taxes? Allowing people to organize and gain any modicum of power. Despite its many longstanding pre-Musk problems, Twitter had become a formidable tool that helped people organize for (and against) causes.
So down it goes.
This is absolutely nuts. If it’s been trained on a person’s voice, it can even identify them if they were speaking in a room, near a camera, at the time the photo was taken.
COVID infections are spiking again, and hard. The U.S. is rapidly approaching the third highest peak during the entire pandemic.
This is serious. Please be cautious, it’s getting bad out there again.
