Fairy Tail fans, I have a question: Why is Jerza a good ship?
I've seen the entire show and I can't see why they're perfect for each other. Can someone explain pls?

I do have my own take on it: Jellal and Erza are the Fairy Tail version of Sasuke & Sakura.
Jellal and Erza were friends as kids but after Tower of Heaven, he completely abandons her for years. It continues on to the worst scene ever: The beach scene.
This scene is awful. Not because she got rejected but because he fucking lied! He lied about having a financé after not seeing her for most of their lives and then, a year later and the finale happens, she saves his life and he's like "Wow. I love her so much"
Seriously?
You abandoned your childhood friend whom you gave her name "Erza SCARLET", pushed her away from ever helping you, lie to her and suddenly you love her?
I hope I'm the 100yr Quest she gets someone better than Jellal

Jellal and Erza are exactly the opposite of Sasuke and Sakura. They may share some tropes, but the difference lies in how those tropes were EXECUTED. If anything, Gruvia is more similar to SasuSaku when it comes to similarities in their dynamic (obsessive girl and disinterested guy).
Jellal "abandoned" Erza because he got brainwashed, which happened because he put his life on the line to save her from torture. Did you miss that little detail?
The beach scene is literally the best scene in FT, we never got such a raw intimate scene in the show ever again. Why is it such a big deal that he lied? Obviously he did it for her sake, she has no future with a fugitive like him. Why are you bashing him for loving Erza UNCONDITIONALLY?
Jellal loving Erza was anything but sudden. He literally loved her since childhood. He confessed to loving her during TOH, remembered ONLY her name when he lost his memories, worried about her even while being tortured, always put himself in danger to protect her. Did you skip 90% of jerza scenes or something?
Erza is not ending up with anyone other than Jellal. You do not build up a relationship for 600+ chapters only to abandon it for a different one in a goddamn sequel... Do you not know how storytelling works?? Lol what is this post, is this bait??
