Schwarzenegger winning seemed like the most embarrassing thing that would ever happen in politics at the time and now he’s to the left of every elected Republican and a few Democrats and just makes videos going “young men, my fadda was a Nazi and he was a contemptible loosah”

If I may momentarily break keyfabe, I think the deal with D.B. Cooper is most likely that cops are just bad at finding people.
New D.B. Cooper theory: he went somewhere the cops didn't look

40k is fantasy copy pasted as much as possible into space, and that was recently hammered home by the reminder that large Imperial deployments use banners. Y’know, the giant flags to indicate who’s who when you’re sending tsunamis of infantry and cavalry to pound each other to death? 40k may be a setting with firearms but imho they should be treated the same way as swords and spears are in fantasy, including how they’re deployed and utilized en masse. There’s no efforts at concealment, and rarely any at cover, your job is to run with your 500 best mates like you’re planning to pass clean through the enemy, firing your weapon all the way. Doesn’t matter if you can’t hit anything more than 2 meters away, the battlefield tactics account for this, how else will your captain hit anyone with his chainsword? This applies to everyone btw, guard, sororitas, Admech, and Marines. Sororitas are just more intense, Admech have better aim and march rather than charge, and Marines can give and take more of a pounding between their starting point and getting stuck in. What is a lasgun but a poor man’s spear?
40k is a world in which humanity's tactics never evolved beyond Napoleonic warfare. This confuses the everliving fuck out of everyone except the Orks, who think it's a bloody good time.
top gun is great because tony scott was like “i want to make a movie about sunsets” and the us navy was like “No you’re gonna make recruitment propanganda for the navy” and val kilmer was like “the studio has tricked me, juilliard trained val kilmer, into being here, so i’m going to portray a closeted homosexual” and tom cruise was like “i’m in a ray bans commercial!”
so the childhood yearning to live in a fantasy world just never goes away huh
Don't ever talk to my son you bitch ass plumber
Every writing advice ever: If you’re having trouble with a scene, skip it and write a different part of the story.
Me: If I don’t write in chronological order, I will die
this honestly just came out of left fucking field i would have never expected to hear anything like this in this show. consider me Pleasantly Surprised tbh
This was the autism episode
people seem to forget that house was a multiply disabled man, so it should be a given that he’d be against eugenics and eugenicist doctors
I pointed this out the last time this post started circulating, but House is explicitly disabled because Cuddy didn’t take him seriously about his pain until it was too late to save his leg muscle, and then she tried to convince him to cut it off so he could have a “normal” life with a prosthesis. He’s quite literally a walking display of what happens when doctors refuse to listen to patients who don’t communicate in a socially acceptable manner, and the reason he gets away with so much stuff is because Cuddy knows he doesn’t share her blind spot when it comes to putting the wellbeing of the patient above everything else, fuck protocol, fuck insurance, fuck liability, fuck the Hippocratic Oath, this person is in pain right now, everything else can go to hell until their pain stops.
