I once visited a tiny artist town with my best friend, you know, one of those places with a population of a couple hundred folks who have pretty much all dedicated their lives to art. When I was there, my best friend mentioned I liked to draw so they asked if they could see my sketchbook. I let them, but apologized that it was all drawings of one thing (Sans, whom I was obsessed with at the time)
They responded: “But of course! That’s how you get good at drawing something? Why would you apologize for that?”
So you go, you funky little fanartists - draw that same thing over and over again. That’s good art practice anyway.
All Michelangelo drew were hot men and he’s plenty skilled.

sometimes i think about how constellations are an entirely man-made construct and don’t actually exhist inherently in nature. i mean, the universe just gave us stars, and we saw art and myths and stories in them. the capacity that humans have for seeing purpose in the incidental makes me realize just how lonely we are on this planet, desperately searching for meaning elsewhere in the universe.
