Calling Toronto vegan friends!
I'm moving to TO May 1st so tell me all the best vegan spots/ events/ people!! I've never lived in a city only in small towns so I'm so so excited.
I'm going vegan
I can’t take it anymore. Just found out I am lactose intolerant, no wonder I can’t stand any dairy product. Meat has been disgusting to me for months and I think it’s high time I give my critter friends their freedom. Today marks the start of something new, wish me luck!
I just ate so many Pringles and Oreos and Lay’s BBQ chips I’m gonna throw up but it’s ok because they’re vegan
I wonder how vegans feel about the fact that cows become engorged, in pain, and can get infections if they’re not milked, by the way.
Actually, they’d probably just lie and say that that doesn’t happen. It’s clearly a myth farmers make to try and make you feel better about drinking milk! Or something.
Dude the calf is supposed to relieve that except dairy farmers separate them and give the calf formula. Come on its kind of obvious.
I think when non-vegans say that “vegan food is nasty” what they really mean is “vegan food tastes different and I don’t like challenging my pallet”. These are usually the same kind of people who would go to an “ethnic” resteraunt and then later complain how “weird” the food tasted and treat a whole section of new food as a novelty, then go back to eating like 3 main dishes over and over every day.
Like yes, it tastes different, because there are different ingredients. It’s not nasty (not all of it at least), it’s just not what you expected it to taste like and it’s a little jarring. But just have an open mind and mouth and you’ll see it’s (usually) not bad. And if it really is bad, congrats you’ve found a vegan food you don’t like. Everyone has one. And I garuntee you have a meat dish you don’t like too.
PSA
having a vegan lifestyle does not have to mean having an expensive lifestyle
I’m finally going vegan after years of thinkin about it but making excuses for why I couldn’t …. I am honestly rly excited
