[ kisses her forehead and strokes her hair. ] 

[ presses closer and nuzzles against his side. ]

[ curls up with Bernie and snuggles her. ]

[ wraps her arms around him as best she can and snuggles close. ]

[ is taken by surprise, and looks over. ]  O-Oh! Hi, Bernie! [ smiles and turns to snuggle her. ]

Hey there, Johnny. [ she nuzzles xem gently, smiling. she hasn't put xem down yet. ] My dads are being gross, so I came to see you.

I think I can free up some time just for that. [ he pulls her into his lap, snuggling her close to him. ] But that means you gotta get some sleep tonight so we can be up early an’ get the show on the road. ‘Kay?

[ she pouts a little, because she didn't wanna go to bed right now. but sleeping meant she could spend the whoooooole day with Guy, and maybe Kyle and Lumita too. ] Okay. Come read me a story.

[ Guy leans up and kisses her cheek. He was glad she was having fun with him, and was much more glad that he finally had the energy to play with her again. ]

Are you busy tomorrow? We should do something. All of us could go out and do something. [ she hums softly, returning the kiss to his cheek. ]

You got it. [ puts the little doll in the spot she’s instructed. he doesn’t mind one bit. ]

[ she giggles and leans on him, wrapping her arms snugly around him. she was really glad Guy was back in a good mood. ]

[ helping Bernie with her doll house. ]

[ is mostly holding onto his shoulders and telling him where to put things. ]

Put that one over there.

Okay. Do y’want some help, sweetie? I’ll get it for ya. [ he stands up, moving into the kitchen and pulling one of her cups from the top shelf. he didn’t mind her waking him up, in fact, he was hoping to sleep in his own bed anyways — so he’d follow her back in and crawl to bed. ] What can I get for ya? We got orange juice, fruit punch, that purple stuff Kilowog said you liked so he brought more of — or water.

Orange juice is fine. Thank you. [ she leans up to peek over the counter, watching him grab the juice and fill the cup. she looks over to him quietly, before grabbing onto his sleeve with small fingers, her eyes big and curious. ] . . .are you okay? You keep acting weird.

[ he froze as well, their eyes meeting and him kind of staring. she looked like a deer in headlights, and he wondered if she was being sneaky for any particular reason. her reaction to him waking up did raise his suspicions — and she was his kid. ] You okay, sweetheart? [ he mumbled tiredly, yawning. ] Whatcha need?

I'm okay. I just wanted something to drink. [ she wrung her hands a little, hoping she hadn't been the one to wake him. he wasn't sleeping well and she could tell, so she didn't want to wake him up when he had started to get to sleep. ]

[ Guy had been dozing on the couch when he heard the noise of his bedroom door swinging open; he tucked Bernie in there earlier, expecting to join her, but had fallen asleep to the droning of an old Jeopardy re-run. He squinted to see past the light of the television and into the darkness, and rose up from the couch slowly. ]

[ Bernie had meant to make a run to the kitchen for something to drink, hopefully without waking the others. She knew Lumita was asleep and had spotted Guy dozing, so she'd begun to make her way towards the kitchen. She didn't see Guy so much as she heard him get up and she stopped, looking at him from the doorway of the kitchen. ]

Toooo baaad. [ uses his ring to turn on the tub. ] I’ll put bubbles in it!

I don't caaaare. [ she pouted, trying to wriggle away still. ]

Foolish tater tot. You can not escape! [ blows a raspberry on her cheek and hauls her into the bathroom, despite her squirms. ]

But I don't wanna! [ she wriggles around some more, definitely not wanting to take a bath. ] 

Sorry kiddo, you’ve rolled way too much in the trash, it’s time. Bath time.

[ Bernie made a sour face before attempting to wiggle free of Guy's grip. Oh come on, she'd been having so much fun. Why'd he have to ruin it like that. ]

[ he scooped her up by her leg, dangling her in front of his face. ] Yeah yuh do.

Nu-uh. [ she crossed her arms like she'd seen him do so many times, and huffed. ]

Pee-yew, you stink, missy.

I do not! [ she stuck her tongue out at Guy, laughing afterwards. ]
