Some of the positive news from 2019
Being more consistent with my planning has really helped me deal with daily stress. In the past few months I would procrastinate using my bullet journal. The more I procrastinated, the more unorganised I would be. The more unorganised I was, the more I stressed and the more I stressed, the more I procrastinated. Vicious cycle, I know. Now I take 5 minutes every morning and evening to look at my journal and plan out my day. I also made sure that my bullet journal is as minimalist and easy to use as possible. If I draw too many doodles or add to many pictures, I’ll easily get overwhelmed again and start procrastinating. Slowly but surely my morning and evening routines are taking shape and bullet journaling is only a small step to a more productive and mindful lifestyle.

October 7 - ANTIHERO/HEROINE⠀⠀ ⠀ OK, so please forgive me! I was at NYCC all weekend working and running around like crazy. I didn’t realize I’d already missed the first two prompts of my very own challenge! 🙏🏼 So I’m going to try my best to catch up on the challenges today now that I’ve got some time to myself. ⠀ ⠀ I thought this was the perfect way to start out the challenge by obviously showing off THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER. I’ve finally finished my reread of the series and I am so pumped for NOAH SHAW in the next month. ⠀ ⠀ Both Mara and Noah are some of the best examples of antiheroes that I have read in YA. They both show that no one is good or bad, that there are just hard situations with hard decisions. There are some dark scenes throughout UNBECOMING and I am so impressed with the way that Michelle Hodkin writes her characters and how there may be no right or wrong - but what’s best for the situation at that moment. ⠀
