It baffles and infuriates me that Hogwarts students don’t take Latin or Greek. Accio? Literally “I summon.” Lumos? Fucking “light.” Expelliarmus? Expel weapon!! Ooooh I wonder what Levicorpus does– you Dumb Ass Bastard. You ILLITERATE. It’s called Levicorpus, it lifts someone’s body, it LEVIES your goddamn CORPUS-

I’ve had the successes that I’ve had with Game Of Thrones and The Hunger Games and all these other great projects, but in the meantime, the conversation has changed about female protagonists, so beautifully now, it’s a part of the wave of readdressing the issue of fleshed out, flawed female characters leading a narrative. i don’t know who decided that happy endings were boring but i wanna fight them. happy endings make all the bad shit that characters go through worth it, there’s nothing boring about that.

isak’s a mama’s boy; staying with his mother when his father left, trying to take care of her as much as he can; coming out to his father wasn’t nearly as frightening as coming out to his mother. this is also probably the first time, in a very long while, that a parent told isak they loved him. it’s a horrible thing to think your parents don’t love you or would never love you. isak probably felt that way.
