blue gangsta || michael jackson
you’ve tricked me nine to five, left and you said crime
people telling me, you’ve got another guy
i’ve been abused, watch me light the fuse
said you’d be my wife, nothing but big lies
Young Michael Jackson is cooler than you
“MJ will be my new name. No more Michael Jackson. I want a whole new character, a whole new look. I should be a totally different person. People should never think of me as the kid who sang “ABC”, “I Want You Back”. I should be a new incredible actor, singer, dancer that will shock the world. I will do no interviews. I will be magic. I will be a perfectionist, a researcher, a trainer, a master. I will be greater than every great actor roped in one. I must have the most incredible training system, to dig and dig and dig until I find. I will study and look back at the whole world of entertainment and perfect it. Take it steps further from where the greats left off.“ - November 6th, 1979/Destiny Tour (Journey From Motown: Off The Wall.)
His face in the 4th gif… omg… he related to every word he sang :(

Making of BAD
okay we need to put this “michael jackson didn’t want to be black” bullshit to rest here and now
not only did he suffer from vitiligo, a skin disease which gradually de-pigmented his melanin and caused him to appear lighter throughout his life, but he also:
- attended black power events in Harlem in the early 2000s in which he spoke out against white washing and racism in the music industry
- donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the NAACP, the United Negro College Fund, and other black charities/organizations
- sang and spoke out about institutional racism and police brutality in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s; his original video for “They Don’t Care About Us” is set in a prison and was allegedly the inspiration for Kendrick’s Grammy performance
- made frequent trips to Africa which he referred to as his “home”
- wanted the video for “Remember the Time” to be a purposeful statement against white washing in Egyptian movies and went out of his way to ensure the entire cast was black/brown
- invited low income majority black kids and their families to his amusement park at his home in Neverland for no cost
- bought back the catalogues of black musicians like Little Richard who were ripped off by white producers/studios and returned them to their rightful owners
- explicitly stated that he did not want to be portrayed by a white actor because he was “a black American [who was] proud of [his] race and proud of who [he] was”
- never ever attempted to “alter his black features” (a bizarre and offensive charge within itself) and in fact received minimal plastic surgery despite tabloid rumor
denying Michael’s race isn’t just racist and disrespectful it also belittles his accomplishments as a proud black man who conquered a racist white industry
