Sweet Freedom || Solo
The slave had been told to pack up everything but no other directions or information was given. Roderick didn’t let him in on what was going through his mind or what decisions he made but Thomas knew something was going on. Was he too blunt in what he had to say about the city? Did the master not appreciate it and he was sending him back? Were they moving to a different house? So many different reasons, and for once, the blue eyed wolf didn’t ask, a little fearful on what the answer could have been, or perhaps pushing more buttons than he might have already.
When he heard his name being called, he came quietly, trying to search his face for any answers. The collar was taken from around his neck, and Thomas was so close to pleading not to, an apology rising to the surface for anything he might have said to cause this. But then Roderick told him he was free. He swallowed hard, so many thoughts running through his head, mostly that he didn’t want to be without the other wolf. He didn’t know where he would go. He didn’t even know where his brother was. All he could do was try to pull himself together enough to find the words to say he wanted to say with him. But he didn’t have to.
Upon hearing that the other wolf was hoping he would go with him, Thomas nodded, so relieved he nearly got emotional, moving in for another kiss. “I just want to be with you. I don’t care where we go, but Rio sounds like a good start, yes.” Another kiss was given with a soft growl, a little aggressive. “How dare you make me worry like that...” But he sighed happily, and he slipped the collar from Roderick’s hand, putting it in his pocket. He might not have to wear it anymore but he still wanted to keep it. “Let’s get the hell out of here...”
