Malik welcomed Mai settling onto his lap to the point of instinctively wrapping an arm around her waist. As much of a mess as he was, he still appreciated her warmth and affection.  He closed his eyes and leaned forward to bury his face against her shoulder. “Thanks, Mai…” he sighed. “Sorry I’m always a mess…”

“You don’t need to apologize for anything, Malik...” She gently hushed her boyfriend, placing another kiss to his cheek and continue to stroke her fingers through his hair in a slow and loving manner. 

She cuddle closer towards him, letting out a gentle hum as she could feel his arms tighten around her in security. “We can just stay here and cuddle... Whatever makes you comfortable and happy.”

There was a soft yet loving smile on her face as Mai gently placed the cake down on the table and went over to her beloved. But rather than sit next to him, she gently slid herself on his lap and placed her arms loosely around his neck. Fingers soon reached up to stroke through Malik’s hair, in quite an affectionate manner. 

“You know I’m always here for you, hon...” She leaned in, pressing a sweet kiss to his cheek. “No matter what day it is...”

I wanted to draw a Yugioh couple for once… I’m not sure why but I realized today that I don’t draw many couples/group pictures… I’ll try to change that, ahaha. Jou and Mai have a lot of history and they were probably my first Yugioh ship. XD

@dog-fish, It’s been about three thousand years but I finally got around to drawing a half-way decent Mai for you! (Previous attempts were made but they shall not see the light of day).

As one who has drawn at least one character from each series (except Zexal), I can officially say that Mai has the hardest hair to draw. OMG. It’s all over the place!
