Recently: Francesco De Leo’s cover of Sparring Partner by Paolo Conte Generally: Danza Kuduro (both intentionally and against my will) dollmaker is (and isn’t) really just Greek South African indie / alternative pop singer-songwriter and producer Chloé-Marie Kikillus. She’s super happy to be here! Hell yeah! Born and raised in Johannesburg, she now lives in Athens, where she satirically and sincerely exposes her most vulnerable bits to family, friends, algorithm associates, and potential future employers in the form of songs that weave the digital and kitsch (GarageBand MIDI, Windows XP SFX, videogame sonics) through a humble core – the voice and acoustic guitar.
Her 10-track debut album, ‘In Freefall I Feel Like You’, was released on the 16th of April, 2024. Initially created entirely on her laptop, IFIFLY went through its Pokémon evolution at the delightful Diskex, Athens, where Stavros ‘Allos’ Georgiopoulos mixed and mastered it all and Sergios Voudris offered his insights and finishing touches.
