Hey, this’s Nadim, a survivor of the Beirut explosion. The purpose of this post is to implore for help to Mr. A. who has just suffered a stroke (cerebrovascular accident CVA) as a result of a brain contusion, losing his home, losing his life savings, losing his son who had come to town to visit him for his birthday but could never see because the explosion in Beirut killed him…

On August 4, Mr. A. turned 73, but his birthday turned into a tragedy when the city was stained with blood… I write this because he needs all the help possible for his rehabilitation and treatment. The only family that Mr. A. now has is his wife, whom he saved and for that reason he suffered a brain contusion, as I mentioned, his son died. Although I’m not his granddaughter, I cannot stand idly by, so if you can help him, we urgently need all possible help for his treatment and medication. You can help him by donating a 1$ here please, he needs a lot of help!

Hello, many will already know about the explosion in Beirut, many will also have heard about NOT donating to our Lebanese government because they are… yes, that. The truth is that I write this avoiding crying and try to use all the value I still have to write here and be able to get a little help. As in several countries around the world, Lebanon is in an economic crisis, famine and living with a pandemic due to covid-19, and our government has done nothing to help us. The explosion was the worst thing that could have happened to us, this really truncates all my university plans, it killed my family and friends, I feel like I cannot cope with this, but I am still on earth by and for those who are still alive…

After the explosion… my family and neighboring families got together, trying to understand what had happened and how in a second we had lost everything… Now I am writing to you on behalf of these five families, I don’t know if this weird and small post will work or if we’ll get any help, but it is the only thing I can do right now: this is my paypal account that I created a couple of days ago, tbh I have no idea how to use this, so a Tumblr friend helped me create it (thx Ali!), if any of you can donate $1 or whatever comes from your heart, it would help us i n f i n i t e l y, basically we would use this to get water, medicine, food and some clothes, which urges us.
