Comedian Liz Miele
Working on Avenue A, comedian Liz Miele sees evolution all around her – from comedy and live performance venues opening and closing, to jokes that grow from ideas into laughs. Few things in the East Village are as constant as change, and for Liz and the close-knit group of creative people who live here, it’s all part of the charm.
“This neighborhood is full of people who came to New York to put themselves out there and do something creative. It’s what the city is known for,”she said. “For me, it’s one of the last places where artists can live.”
Together with her sister Emily, Liz hosts themielesisters' Variety Show, a monthly showcase of comedy, music, and magic held at the Sidewalk Café. She recently recorded a comedy album, “Emotionally Exhausted,” and is about to embark on a European tour.
After being a part of the comedy scene on Avenue A for more than a decade, Liz is beginning to see her hard work pay off. She recalls the sacrifices she’s made to get to this point, and some of the help she ’s received along the way. According to Liz, the East Village is a community where people help each other out – where the kindness of others is neither forgotten nor left unreturned.
“If I ever make it, I’m going to owe everybody in this neighborhood a sandwich,” she said with a laugh.
Stoli Vodka profiled me about comedy in the east village & about The Miele Sisters' Variety Show!
(They got my upcoming CD title wrong as well as like everything else but I think they were all drinking :P) Much love to Christian Polanco for mentioning me and my show to them.
Next Miele Sisters show Nov 20th @ 8pm @ Sidewalk NYC

Their company, "The Artifice Group" needs 250 votes to get considered for a business grant and needs some help. All you need is a facebook account and to click vote.
It will take 1 min and would be a huge help.
Thank you!!
When I was in London in March I met an incredibly funny story teller named,Brydie Lee-Kennedy and she invited me to do her sex and dating podcast and we discovered we are complete opposites while, I like to think, falling in love! She just posed our episode together! Enjoy listening to what a crazy person I am
