Progress Update

{I’ve made the blog, added all pages, and have queue’d all relevant posts tagged ‘Headcanon’ from this account.  I am currently working on moving my drafts from this account’s stash to the new one, at which point I will alter this URL to archive and alter the other URL from it’s temporary placeholder to the official one.  This took much less time than I was anticipating.

{For the record, I had several messages in my inbox, all of which were role-play prompts of various sorts.  Rather than answer them here, I’ve set them up as drafts on the new account and have tagged/mentioned each person involved.  For clarification, I will tag those people here as well.  If you don’t see your name, but there was something you sent that I hadn’t yet answered, feel free to message me and we’ll get things figured out.}

{I’m taking a very brief (no more than a day or two) hiatus to work on a second blog.  Rather, the blog to which I will be moving this one.  You may get random follows from the temporary URL (likely to be intendantduroi) and then I will make a formal announcement of an official move and make this blog an archive.

I do not intend to drop any threads I currently have drafted or to which I am owed replies.  Although I am making semi-major changes to the character, it does not and will not affect any of the things I currently have going on.  Hopefully this won’t take long, but we shall see.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.}

{I have tried and failed to achieve anything worthwhile today on this account.  I shall be working on a separate blog for an eventual move in the hopes of not completely wasting my time today.  I’m available on Skype if I’m needed.}

“Okay, okay, good! You’re coming so we’re gonna party so hard!”             If he’s coming, she didn’t have to stand in the             sidelines and watch alone.

I’m afraid you’ll find me a poor date to something like this.  My idea of a successful appearance at a party is spending the better part of the evening not getting tangled up in the idiocy of my fellow party-goers.

9: Angel

He didn’t like this, not one bit. This was why he rarely ventured far from Heaven-it was too dangerous. Now here he was, disoriented and trapped, his body shaking from a combination of fear and barely-contained rage. The angel’s eyes watched the man who examined him intently, and he wrapped his large wings closer to his body protectively.

“Let me go. I demand it.”

Avatar
Had he not been so bewildered and overwhelmed, the angel might have been able to do something to defend himself. But the capture had been so swift that Falkner had been taken off-guard, and he struggled to think of what he could do now.
This one, his captor, seemed different from the other humans he had encountered over the centuries, and not in a promising way. Everything about the man felt and looked sinister, from the way he moved to the smooth gesture with which he gripped Falkner’s face, the ethereal being grunting in an undignified manner as he tried to pull away. He extended his wings again, flapping them in a failing manner at the man in hopes he might beat him away. As light as they were, even he doubted they could do any real damage, but anything that could create some distance between them was worth a shot.
“And why not? You have no use for me, and I will not follow your orders.” Growled the angel.

-Though it was a struggle to keep his eyes open when the rush of wind struck against him when his captive beat his wings, it only made the glint in those eyes flash with intent.  How interesting to see even a small portion of what this being was capable of.  He responded similarly to the way Archer expected, but there was still an element of surprise and curious obsession.  Though seemingly human in the way his face contorted and his pulse thrummed against the side of the Steward’s palm, the sheer fact that this was clearly not human made what might have been mundane and dull exciting and fulfilling.

-He smiled softly, though the look was no less sinister or more inviting, at his captive’s agitated response.  Before speaking, Archer lifted the boy’s chin further up and turned his head this way and that, like a stable master inspecting a potential purchase.  He relinquished his grip on the other and stood, signalling to a small cluster of black-uniformed Rockets that he was ready to leave.-

You underestimate your value if you truly believe that.  As for following orders...  -A breathy chuckle left him.-  Let’s let the future decide that, shall we?  After all, I’ve been told I can be very... persuasive.

Double Poison

“This is my first time, yes.” She affirmed, both the pokemon and the woman tensing up as he approached. The crobat had accepted the woman as one of their own, but this stranger was so bold as to approach as well? He seemed to be non threatening, but… the crobat eyed at the man cautiously, smelling no food on his person, and eyeing him with suspicion- but not acting on it.
“I know pokemon, and they know me.” She replied to his question, nearly purring to the crobat with a few noises that sounded similar to those of its line. “We understand each other- and when we are on the same wavelength, we get along.”

-Archer seemed no more nonchalant about approaching the wild Crobat as he had been previously.  If he noticed the uncertain and suspicious look of the Poison-type, he said nothing.  He maintained his nonthreatening posture and only moved with slow, exaggerated gestures.  He offered a short smile to the creature before returning his attention to the girl.

-She was a curious thing for certain.  Her natural way with the wild Pokemon intrigued him and he desired to know more.  She was certainly not the first he’d heard of or had ever seen with such an ability and he couldn’t help but wonder what it was about these people that made luring Pokemon such an easy thing.  It did not escape him the benefit it could provide the organization and he wondered how difficult it would be to learn more about this girl before assessing the risk factor of taking a real, vested interest in her.-

Is that so?  Such an ability must make traveling much easier for you.  Not having to worry so much about disturbing wild Pokemon.  Although I’ve yet to experience the phenomenon since, I had something of a... similar exchange with one of my own team.  It’s curious to see it from an outsider’s perspective.

It would take a lot to kill me, Archer,” Lugia stated, matter of factly. It truly did. No matter what humanity did, no matter how many battles she’d been in, wars she’d seen, the lady of the sea had yet to meet her end. And even if there was a chance of dying, there were failsafes in case of such an occasion.
Garnet hues trailed over to the fingers at her hair, head tilted as she gazed curiously. She wasn’t averse to touch, but years of dealing with court figures always had her wary. Deeming this gesture harmless enough, she dipped her head to press her cheek lightly into his touch.
The world may be in chaos for a few days, and the titans themselves would throw tantrums the world has never seen before, however…it would not be long until I would be replaced in order to keep the balance. So, rather, if something did happen, I would not be too worried.
She smiled, chuckling softly under her breath. “However, I am not careless enough to leave you bereft of a wife. At least not while there’s still much left to do. I have promises to keep to you. And until then, I will not die until I helped you reach your goals, for better or worse….part of that is making sure you get time to breathe. Even if I wind up hurt.

-He smiled very slightly, a flash of appreciation at her acceptance of his small gesture.  Loving was not a word one could use to describe him, but he was not without the ability to show affection, if in minute ways and at often rare times.  The effect gave way to a soft chuckle and he found himself shaking his head.-

The paradox of a being of such great and immeasurable power talking of her demise as though it were a simple matter of finding or providing a worthy replacement.  Like changing the batteries when they’ve run out of power.  I had imagined God to be much more dramatic and boastful.  I would be lying if I said you never fail to continue surprising me.

-From its position against her face, he slid his hand down to take her much daintier one in his.  Lifting it, he pressed a chaste kiss to the back of her palm and caressed the spot where his lips had met with a stroke of his thumb.-

Take comfort that you provide me with what I need most when I need it most.  Although the temptation to... unmask is great at times of high stress or after a particularly irritating encounter with one too many incompetent fools, you remain a rock in that stormy tide.  The one I need most.  You are not deserving of the wrath that boils in those moments.

Though having the Sea to wash away all traces of such sin is also incredibly beneficial.

“Heh, ‘spose so huh? But no one knows yer face Boss! Yer like a spy!” He giggles. “An’ I can’t budget nothin’ cause the drinky drink keeps bad bad things s’way. I’d ratha’ sleep well than not at all…. But ya don’t have ta’ deal with fucked up shit’ huh Boss? Yer ‘bove all that. Nothin’ scares ya, nothin’ haunts ya!! So cool!”

My anonymity is beneficial, certainly.  It allows me to move in groups and circles that would otherwise be closed off to me.  And it makes existing outside the organization much more manageable when you don’t have the authorities on your doorstep every night or the neighbors petrified of you.

Have you considered making use of a Hypno or some other Pokemon capable of Dream Eater?  I’ve heard it works wonders on nightmares and fitful sleep cycles.  I know someone who can put together a Drowzee with the potential for more use than mere sleep management if you’d be interested.

-The Executive lifted his shoulders in response to the grunt’s final addition.-

I’m no more or less human than you, Julius.  I have simply learned how to keep my baser instincts and emotions tightly controlled.  It’s a factor that has made life much more bearable than the alternative.

“Mhmm, quite the thoughtful gentleman.”Jules purred and leaned in a little to his touch, already pleased with his response. At the man’s suggestion, she nodded and began to unbutton her blouse with slow deliberation that did not betray her eagerness. Every so often she would glance back up at him, holding his gaze for just a moment before turning her attention back to her work.
Once the last button was undone, she slid back and delicately extended a stocking-clad leg towards him.
“I don’t suppose you could give me a hand, could you?” Inquired the writer while she slid her blouse off her shoulders. “Or would you prefer that I leave them on?”

-Each time she looked up, she would find his gaze had not moved.  It wasn’t clear whether this was because he simply able to anticipate her glances or because he was more intent on the subtle changes in her facial expression.  When her ministrations came to a pause and she extended a leg in his direction, he allowed the briefest of smirks to tug at one corner of his mouth.  He stood from his post and crossed the scant distance to kneel just beneath her calf.-

Personally I prefer to see all of you.  Stunning as you are all painted and well-dressed, I’m much more interested in what’s beneath it all.  So unless you prefer otherwise, I’m afraid you’ll be losing these.

-He ran his palms up the length of her shin, past her knee, and came to stop just below the hem of her skirt.  His thumb traced a little further than his fingertips before he curved around her thigh and tucked under the top of her stocking to slide it a few inches down.  The angle of his fingers were such that the blunt of his fingernails pressed more firmly into her flesh as he descended to just beneath her knee.-

-Stalking around the bound creature with a slow, predator’s gait, Archer could not hide or lessen the grin on his face no matter how hard he tried.  This was simply too  t r i u m p h a n t  a moment for him to take it all in impassively.  Tentative fingers extended to cautiously trail along tousled, dark-blue locks of hair.  He needed to exercise care here.  He hadn’t the slightest idea what this creature could do, up close or at a distance, but he couldn’t resist the temptation to touch.

-A short laugh, dry and breathy, left the man’s mouth at the creature’s demands and he stopped and stooped just before him.  Long digits smooth under the winged one’s chin, fingertips and thumb cradling the other’s face between them.  Tilting Falkner’s face upward to force their gazes together, Archer tilted his head almost like a child in wonder of a new toy.-

I’m afraid that isn’t going to happen.

“Well– I mean, a progess report can’t be helped, right?” But.. He hadn’t really gotten too far with much to do. “I’ve met up with my partner.. ..Silver. He wants me to ‘prove myself. That’s about as far as I’ve gotten since training ended– Sir!”

That’s right.

-Though the boy’s tone left much to be desired, Archer supposed he could certainly be faced with worse.  At the mention of his King’s heir, the man took a deeper interest in this brunette.  He eyed the boy more intently for a moment, assessing everything that seemed relevant.  With a short tug of his lower lip, his gaze met Ethan’s once more.-

As partner to that boy, you will do your best to bolster him and see that he does well.  If he slacks or skirts responsibility, you will report it to me immediately.  The same with his successes.  I want to know how he does.  Do you understand?

Elijah would much rather stay in one of the guest bedrooms than sleep with a man he hardly knew; even if they were to be married. He’d take the advice as to which room to take.
“My father didn’t tell me much about you. He told me I was marrying a man from Team Rocket to build a bond between our family and your organization, and that was that. …I’d rather not join if it can be avoided, but I’m not sure what choices I have. I don’t expect you to tell me specifics, I was just curious what my husband does for a living.”

-A slight scoff left the Executive’s mouth at the other’s revelation.  That the boy’s father would be so irresponsible in filling his son in on the arrangement being made about him was... disappointing to say the least.  It meant there would be more preparations to be made and settled before he could trust this boy alone in his home.  How irritating.

-With a sigh, he waved his hand dismissively.-

I wasn’t aware how little your father told you regarding this whole ordeal.  As for your induction into the organization, it’s unnecessary.  Although you may be required to act as liaison at times with your family, it’s unlikely you’ll be expected of much more than behaving yourself and not speaking out of turn.

It is not well-known that I am a member of Rocket and I would be remiss if that were to ever change, so it is expected of you to keep that quiet.  Later, once you’ve had a chance to settle yourself in, we’ll discuss in depth the specifics of what I expect out of you and what you are and are not permitted to do so long as you live under this roof.  Understood?

Alyssa shivered in discomfort, hating the way his hands felt. She couldn’t do anything beside glare. One false move and he’ll have no problem hitting her. She closed her eyes, she would get out of this, but for now she’ll have to bite her tongue.
“I’m not going to eat,” she said, sticking her nose up in the air. “especially with you.”

-A soft click of his tongue displayed his disappointment in her answer.  The fingers still near her turn briefly harsh, twisting a fistful of hair in between them and his palm.-

Still so much to learn and only a little time in which to teach you.  Perhaps another lesson is in order.  Etiquette, after all, must come before all things and it would be a great misfortune if I put my physical needs above your instruction.  Thank you for helping me decide.

That sinister tone isn’t very convincing. But, who is she to complain – he wasn’t threatening her, really. And it’s always good when Archer isn’t threatening her.
“Well, now would be a wonderful time to show me some mercy, because need a little bit of a favor,” Jessie sings, bringing her hands together at her chest.

Mercy is reserved for the deserving.  I do not pick and choose when or to whom to show mercy.  It’s entirely dependent upon the other’s situation.

-His eyes narrowed slightly at her and he set his jaw, as if bracing himself for disappointment.-

And what pray tell is this favor you need of me?
