“Well I’m not going to keep paying people to lose you, am I?” Elijah asked pointedly. “But I can’t have you walking around unprotected. At the very least, you should be able to protect yourself. And there’s still the castle guards, they’ll have to do.” He smiled at the excitement in her voice. “I know how much you wanted to learn the sword, you should pick it up again. And I want you to visit home.”

Jesobell wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug before pulling back slightly and holding his face between her hands. “What did I ever do to deserve a husband as wonderful as you?” She asked before pulling him into a passionate, happy kiss.

Elijah grinned as she hugged him, wrapping his arms around her waist and holding her close. “Well, you waited out my idiocy, which is a fairly incredible feat that deserves an awful lot more than a visit home, but that’s the best I can do right now.” He happily kissed her back, delighted to have been able to surprise her so nicely.

“I have come to accept that I am the only one that is able to keep any track of you, and I can’t actually be your knight. So, I was thinking… no more knights, no more guards, it’s not worth their time, but you train with a sword, and we get you some sort of light armour. Of course, the only people I would want training you are in Spain, so we’d probably have go back there for a while…”

Jesobell’s eyes widened in disbelief as she closed her book and stood up. “Are you serious? Please tell me you are being serious, because those are some of the best bits of information I have received lately.” Not only could she be going back home for a while, but she would get to start training with a sword again. It saddened her that Aryan’s teaching had been short lived.

Gia was frustrated and feeling cooped up. She was still a new vampire and cravings were hard to control. She had been sticking close to home to avoid any complications, she didn’t want to kill anyone by accident and make Elijah disappointed in her. But tonight she wanted to feel like her old self again. She grabbed her violin and hit the street. She figured that playing to would keep her mind off blood. When she played it always made her happy and calm. Plus she could earn a little money. Playing the heart of the quarter off bourbon street always made her good money.

Elijah was about ready to tear someone in half. His brother was once again causing more problems than he was worth, and once again, he was going to have to clear up the mess. So, to keep himself from tearing off any limbs, he’d decided to go for a walk, clear his head, maybe find a few layabouts to vent his frustration on. He was wandering through the quarter when he heard the sounds of a talented violinist, and made his way closer, the sound relaxing and soothing for his anger. When he spied Gia playing on the street, he couldn’t help but smile, staying out of sight as he continued listening to her play.

There were alot of drunk guys around it was a holiday weekend. She tried her best to ignore it but there two perticular guys being really rowdy. They started throwing some fries at her and she was doing her best to ignore it and maybe they would stop. She had to learn to control herself, yet her emotions began to go into overdrive. She tried her best to play thru the taunts. But when they started walking behind her and grabbing her butt that was it. She cracked and broke her violin over ones head. Baring her teeth.

Elijah was not impressed with the imbeciles that were taunting the violinist, but Gia could take care of herself, he wasn’t going to step in just because they were drunk and stupid. Of course, when they started becoming handsy, drunk and stupid... Elijah grimaced as Gia snapped, speeding in to grab hold of the other man and run him straight into the wall beside him, knocking him cold. “Now, I know they’re hardly the most savoury fellows around, but perhaps we shouldn’t go baring our fangs to anyone who annoys us?”

“I’m glad to see you well Lady Caroline. I fear I’ve been rather lax in checking in with you. I hope you’re beginning to fare well. How have you been?”

Caroline curtsied when the crowned prince approached her, greeting him with a smile, “Prince Elijah, it’s a pleasure to see you again. Fret not about that, I understand you must be quite busy. Not only are you the crowned prince to a powerful nation, you are also a newlywed. I’ve been quite well, spending time with Lord Niklaus. How is the married life faring for you?”

Elijah bowed in return, mirroring her smile. “Ah now, there’s no excuse for rudeness, no matter how busy I may have been, but your understanding is appreciated. Have you really? I’m afraid my brother and I haven’t spent much time together at all recently, it’s good to know he has someone giving him some companionship. Quite well, thank you. I’m a lucky man.”

“Sir Aiden, it’s good to see you again. I hope you’re here for pleasure, not business,” Elijah smiled, offering a hand to the knight. “What can I do for you?”
Image

Aiden took his head and shook it firmly. “I’m here on pleasure. I came to visit Princess Jesobell. She and I have become dear friends. I was hoping to get some advice from her about a matter that I’ve been facing.”

“Ah, that’s good to hear,” Elijah smiled. “Oh, I didn’t realise the two of you had become such good friends. I think she’s otherwise occupied at the moment I’m afraid. I don’t suppose it’s anything I could offer my own advice for? I think you’ll find we have similar view points.”

“If it isn’t the lovely Camille,” Elijah smirked as she approached. “I’m delighted to see my sister hasn’t worn you thin yet. How are you?”

“hello elijah.” cami laughed softly, her head shaking as she did. “rebekah doesn’t work me nearly as hard as the other ladies.”

“Well I’m glad she’s kind to at least one person. I feel like I’m forever trying to keep on top of her,” Elijah chuckled. “It’s good to see you well Camille.”

“Ah, Rebekah, my dear, I do hear you’ve been rather enjoying visiting Scotland,” Elijah smiled as he joined her through the corridors. “It’s supposed to be a very good time of year to go. I imagine they were quite accomodating?”

she wasn’t sure what he meant by that comment. had he heard about her flirting with the prince? “they were lovely. i was glad to report back to father that they’re not a threat.” unfortunately, that meant she probably wouldn’t be sent back anytime soon.

“Oh yes, reporting back to father on their activities was the only reason you wanted to go there in the first place,” Elijah smirked, not a hint of belief in his voice. “Because there’s certainly not a dashing young prince with a talent for trouble. I hope you’re not trying to take me for a fool, dear sister.”

Elijah paused at the door as he heard the sounds of people talking… well, perhaps talking wasn’t quite the word. It sounded a bit more like terrified begging than talking. Then there was Crow’s voice, commanding, powerful, and most definitely angry. Deciding she had it under control at least, he came inside, walking past the scene with as little care as he could muster.

“Guests? You should have told me, I’d have put down sheets,” he commented casually, glancing at the few demons in the room.

“More like unwelcomed visitors.” Crow replied bitterly, her eyes not leaving the demons in question.

“Please, your highness, we never meant to-” Before the demon could finish his plea, his words were forced back into his throat as his breathing was cut off.

“Your voice annoys me almost as much as your intrusion. I should gut you for even attempting to plead with me in my very own home.”

“Ah well, I think the dungeon’s still full with the last unwelcomed visitors, there might be room in the shed to store these ones...” Elijah mused, sitting down at the table and unfolding his newspaper.

To say Crow’s way of dealing with anger was ‘healthy’ was an outright lie, but she seemed to be enjoying herself... in some sense of the word. Though it did slightly concern him that this was what could be expected when she was angry at him...

“Oh, do be careful when you’re disemboweling, that rug is new, remember? Wouldn’t want to stain it just yet.”

@the-one-true-queen gets more things because I like newlywed verse things xD

Elijah sat at the charity event, leaning on his elbow, staring blankly at the stage opposite. He couldn’t believe they were still here. They hadn’t even started the auctions yet. He could only think about two things: the short skirt of his wife’s dress touching his thigh, and the knowledge that his knives were waiting for him at home. Now if only he had one here to slice the throat of the idiot that was still going on about the ridiculous suffering of… Elijah wasn’t even sure who was suffering now. It had been children, then cattle, now the man, dressed about as casually as it was possible to get away with, dreadlocks down to his arse, was going on about whales in Japan. Bloody hell, they were at a charity, how much more did he want?

Crow wrapped her arm around the one that Elijah was resting on the table so that it looked like they were being affectionate instead of him being increasingly bored. “Darling, you do realize they’ve switched speakers many times, don’t you? And it does not look good to be showing your boredom so clearly.” She whispered so that only he could hear, a smile plastered on her face.

“Maybe they should consider being interesting then,” Elijah breathed through gritted teeth. “Now I understand why there are steak knives for a vegetarian meal. So we can put ourselves out of our misery. I’m hardly here on my own free will darling, let me sulk.” The events were his wife’s thing, he wasn’t quite so fond of them. “It amazes me that you still bring me along to these things. You’re perfectly capable of sitting and looking pretty and rich without me.”

Elijah didn’t even bother trying to discipline his knights any more. It wasn’t their fault they kept losing her. She was good at slipping by them, and the two of them had agreed for less of a security detail. So it fell onto him to find his wife tucked away in a private room.

“I have a proposal for you,” Elijah said softly, rubbing his fingers into her shoulders. “Do you have a moment?”

“A proposal? What kind of proposal?” Jesobell asked as she looked up from the journal she was writing in. It didn’t bother her that he had found her. She figured he would have eventually. So it really wasn’t a concern for her.

“I have come to accept that I am the only one that is able to keep any track of you, and I can’t actually be your knight. So, I was thinking... no more knights, no more guards, it’s not worth their time, but you train with a sword, and we get you some sort of light armour. Elijah and Crow for the sad OTP ~ thexmoralxmikaelson

Sad OTP Meme - Send in a ship and I’ll tell you:
@thexmoralxmikaelson

who gets overwhelmed by small acts of kindness? Crowwho flinches at sudden movements? Neither, but if anyone would it would probably be Crowwho is most confused as to why their S.O. is still with them? Crowwho has to constantly check their S.O. still loves them? Crowwho says the other/s would be better off with someone else? Crowwho gets surprised when they are given gifts? Elijahwho is most likely to break down on the other and how does their S.O. attempt to calm them down? Neither, but Crow is most likely to break into a fit of rage, and Elijah just usually lets it happen until she’s calmed down enough to not rip his head offwho is most self conscious in public? Neither. I don’t really see either of them being self-conscious in publicwho is more likely to apologize a million time for a tiny mistake? Elijahwho admits they’re scared only when they think their S.O. is asleep and how does the other react? Elijahwho never thinks they’re good enough for the other? Both, just for different reasonswho takes a bullet for the other? Elijah. Crow would just move him or the bullet out of the way with her powers. But if she didn’t have powers, both would.
