The annual Rexxentrum Cat Show is somewhat famous for offering magical items for their grand prizes (they realized long ago that wizards tend to be cat people, and the prizes help drum up support and attention around the city.) This year the prize is a particularly rare spell book. One that Caleb and Essek are both very very interested in. Naturally, the logical thing to do is have one of them polymorph into a cat and enter the contest to try to cheat their way to a fancy new spell book.

god damn it i am so fucking pissed. my phone got the black screen of death and it can’t be fixed. and i can’t get a new one until tuesday. i do 90% of my online stuff via my phone. I can’t access facebook which i need for messenger for my dnd group. I can’t access my second twitter which is where i do all my fandom related things. I can’t remember my passwords and in order to refresh them i have to get the verification codes... which go to my phone. i do all my fanfic writing on my phone, so now i can’t do that.
Like on one hand it might be nice to be (forcably) disconnected from online life for a few days. On the other, i am going batshit and i fucking hate this.
I saw people talking about how Liam said “counterspell” in Caleb’s accent in episode 3 but I was multitasking when finishing the episode so I missed it. Anyone have a thought time stamp of when this happened?
Anxiety is knowing that i have never once in my life dyed my hair, but I’ve seen so many Tik toks of stylists complaining about people who lie about their virgin hair and how “bleach doesn’t lie” and so now I am terrified that my hair is going to show signs of being dyed before.
One of my favorite things to focus on in Critical Role is what makes Sam laugh. He’s such a comedic agent of chaos that it fascinates me to see what cracks him up.
I went to bed at the break and I dreamt that Bertrand left/was killed and Travis introduced his new character: a red tiefling woman who, in his words, “is very clearly, very heavily pregnant”
And then I woke up to the spoilers about Bertrand. Did I just have a premonition

I just heard Michael Sheen as Aziraphale refer to Crowley as “my dear” for the first time and I think I could cry from how happy it made me.

So I mentioned yesterday I’m not fond of Imogen’s accent because it sounds a lot like mine and I hate my Southern accent. Well today my best friend (who is Canadian) text me and said “wow Imogen sounds like you!” 🙃
I haven’t finished episode 1 yet, but wanted to share my thoughts so far:
I love all the characters, especially Laudna. I’m curious about whether Bertrand is staying, but if he does, then I hope Travis has a blast playing him and fleshing him out more.
I won’t lie. I don’t like Sam and Laura’s accent. I think it’s because I’m from the south and so I have to hear this god awful accent all the time- *I* have this god awful accent- and unlike Fjord who was distinctly Texas-southern (which I’m not), theirs sounds like I’m listening to my boss or my mother in law or something. It doesn’t ruin anything for me, but I hope they end up with an accent switch along the way.
I’m excited about the guest stars and am happy Dorian is here to kick things off. I am genuinely hoping Aimee gets to join at some point. I am admittedly not a huge fan of Opal, but Aimee is a chaos gremlin of the highest order and is very creative. I just want to see her and Sam at the same table. Just imagine. You can’t.
I don’t feel quite as hooked as I did with campaign two, but campaign two was 14 episodes in before I started, and I’d already seen a ton of gifs with jester to make me intrigued. I’m looking forward to how everything builds from here.
If the tweets I saw where Liam discussed some Orym lore are still accurate… that man is going to be the death of me, isn’t he?
