Goodbye, NEWS na Futari! Hello, NEWS no Zenryoku!! Making

After 5 years, NEWS na Futari has come to an end. It's kinda sad as it has been really bold and honest, bringing the attention to a wide range of issues in Japan, from elderly care to pets, from single mothers to immigrants, from LGBT to people of mixed race. It was everything a good show should be - educational, compassionate, and entertaining. But all good things come to an end, especially in the time of Corona. ;;

Yet, there's a silver lining. Koyama and Shige have a new project to work on. It's called NEWS no Zenryoku!! Making and it will have them try to DIY various stuffs. Of course, it may not have the same social value, but it's something.

In this episode, Koyashige went to check up on some of the show's previous gusts. Inoue, a transgender man, was one of the guests on the show in 2018 (see here). Back then, he had an enterprise where he was made some products to help transgender men feel more confident, such as "nezumi-chan", a belt with a bulge. The inside of it wasn't shown on screen but got Koyama-san very shook. Now he also made special underwear, which Koyashige praised, though Koyama noted he usually puts his junk to the right. Inoue got a little confused but they assured him it's a mater of taste. This is the content I'm here for.

Back in 2018 Inoue was married to a woman, but he now said he was divorced. He said he was not suited for a family but it immediately got confusing when he revealed he was currently dating another woman and also helped her raise her kids. He said it was a bit hard for the kids to understand him, since they take baths together and they notice his body looks different but he keeps trying. His girlfriend noted that the first wedding her kids attended was a lesbian wedding so she's not worried about them getting around to it. Koyama said by the time they grow up it will be even more natural and Sensei threw it the term "diversity native" and said "A world where coming out is unnecessary would be ideal." Sensei... T_T They talked a little about the recent developments in LGBT partnerships, as more municipalities and prefectures implement it and Koyama said "It's turning into a world where you can live as yourself."
