The booties are actually very similar to a simplified stilt; there are a number of faun heel tutorials you can find with a quick google search that explain the process in better detail than I ever would. I recommend checking them out as the process pictures for these booties were incredibly boring.

For those of you still curious as to the process, I picked up a pair of very comfortable heels (this detail is incredibly important as you will be wearing them all day, so choose wisely!) that had a thick and sturdy rubber backing. After wrestling with them for an hour, I managed to separate the entire heel from the boot leaving what would essentially be heel-less heels. I then had wooden platforms cut into the shape of hooves, which were drilled into place through the front of the boot. This platform is actually what is ‘walked’ on, which is why it was cut slightly larger than the base of the shoe to provide a larger walking surface and stability so I don’t bobble back and forth with every step. The wooden hooves were then stained and glossed, and then fur was hand applied and dyed! Hope that answers your question! :^) ]]
