#currentlyreading I’m into One Flight Up from a new-to-me author, Susan Fales-Hill, which follows four women who attended the same prep school but are now grappling with love, marriage and sex. Fales-Hill was a writer for The Cosby Show and the lead writer and producer for A Different World. This novel is from a sub-genre I like to call Black & Bougie lit, about well-to-do African Americans. I enjoy the range these characters tend to have, their ticks and flaws, and realizing money doesn’t cure life’s ills – and you can’t run from your blackness.

I finished BLU Dragonfly by Feral Kitty last night, and I have to say I'm sad this is the final installment in this trilogy. Main character Royal and her friends manage to come full circle each in her own way, but I have a feeling (or just hope) that this is not end of Royal. #blacklesbianbooks #pride
