Places like Maz’s cantina press little niggling worries at the back of his neck. It’s proclaimed as neutral, but to him it’s always been a breeding ground for sowing the seeds of distrust. Maz may encourage good relations, but good relations are, in Obi-Wan’s experience, harder to come by than it may seem.
Still, Maz is far from unwelcoming. Obi-Wan orders a drink and catches Maz’s eye and offers her a little wave and a smile that says, I’m definitely not here to cause any trouble, in spite of the fact that trouble, with overwhelming regularity, seems to find him.

This is much too little and too late, but stalling and ignoring the creature might be helping it to calm down? That’s the plan. A plan. It’s not started lashing out yet.
He may have a point. A little belatedly, Obi-Wan looks over at the rioting creature, and tries very hard not to put a finger over his lips and hush it. He turns back to Anakin, and meaningfully smooths his eyebrow, jerking his head to one side.

WHAT DO THEY ADVOCATE FOR? he’s a theist but definitely non-denominational, in the sense that he doesn’t subscribe to any of the major religions, mostly because he doesn’t really agree with the ceremony of it. he believes in A God Of Some Kind, and his beliefs wrt that are veeeeery personal.

✈ : GOOD DRIVER? HOW DO THEY GET TO WORK? BEEN ABROAD? he doesn’t really like driving honestly, i mean he’s okay at it but he’d prefer for someone else to drive so he can sit in the front passenger seat and be an annoying backseat driver basically. his job ( he’s the UK ambassador to the united states ) involves a lot of flying, so he hangs around in airports a lot, which isn’t fun. obviously he’s been abroad, because of his job, so in that sense he tends to stay at home when he’s on vacation. travel is for work.

♚ : WHAT IS THEIR OCCUPATIONAL HISTORY? he has a masters degree in international relations and he interned in a few big companies before he got his job at the american embassy. he’s also fluent in french, german and italian, and his sick negotiating skills mean that sometimes he gets drafted into talks with those countries too.
