THE QUESTION POSED is not one she usually asks. what can she say? she gets paid to steal, gets paid to kill, gets paid for all the nasty little things. but THIS? this whole ACCUSATION that she had robbed a jewel store was rubbish.

       She tries to keep a PROFESSIONAL front,       hands clasped atop the table and        back stiff.   But the sight of the young girl strikes a chord within her, which should        remain unstruck in such a SITUATION.  The jeweler swore the girl had broke in        and gotten away with expensive necklaces, which were missing from the scene.

       The girl’s words of PATHOS was the kind of stuff     Iris had learned in the Police        Academy. An attempt at some form of sympathy, to invoke emotion within you so        that you were SWAYED. Iris knew better,                  but couldn’t help be swayed        regardless.     She was a young child, after all --- they didn’t have her on record,        therefore she was a first time offender.    ( Or good at getting away. )    It couldn’t        hurt to believe her INNOCENT for the moment.

                    ❛ I understand, and I want to help you. I promise. But to do that                        I NEED to know what really happened.    So, tell me: did you                        go to that jewelry store                    at any point in time today? ❜

       It was when the lights flickered DANGEROUSLY     that she shot a look          upwards at their ceiling with its weird stain that she always thought looked          a bit like congealed blood. And --- there --- another flicker!

         Her next look was at her ROOMMATE;       eyes narrowed and lips pursed.          Iris’ ire was already present,          before the question could leave her lips.

Werewolves, vampires, witches, and hunters alike now must combat the demons that now roam free in their little town— while the demons wait in hopes that the gate can be opened again and let all hell break loose not just in the town of Mystic Hills, but everywhere.

       It’s unexpected.  They’re walking, with Felicity talking a MILE a minute, hands          that are arching through the air blurs to the naked eyes. She can scarcely keep up,          teeth GLINTING behind painted lips as she watches her speak,    content to let her          voice wash over her,         adding her input whenever the blonde pauses for breath.

         The first time Felicity’s hand KNOCKS against her own,    she thinks it an accident,          and so she ignores it.       The back of her hand touches hers again, however, then          once more, until Iris is sure it can’t possibly be a mistake.     Felicity’s ignorance on          the matter does not CONVINCE her.

         She waits until the smooth appendage touches her own,     and before it can move          away, she’s got a firm hold on it.  Her smile widens at the hitch in Felicity’s breath,          at how she stumbles over a word.  A pause that neither of them acknowledge, and          then the blonde’s fingers wrap around hers in RESPONSE.       The breath Iris had          been unconsciously hold slips past her lips,     and she forces some semblance of          confidence in her tone when she says —

                  And, once again, Barry Allen found it difficult to pinpoint just what                   to do. So, by default, his hands lightly ran through his hair as if he                   could find an answer or something to tell him what to do or to say                   next.     Perhaps, in some MIRACLE or FREAK OF NATURE, he                   would figure out someway       to fix or extract the uneasiness and                   replace it with the mutual content feeling               between the duo.

             It was still STRANGE to know that Harrison Wells was actually, well,                  not Harrison Wells but the Reverse Flash.        She would have to get                  used to this,    of course,   seeing as this was going to be her life from                  now on. Her best friend a SUPERHERO with actual adversaries.  Iris                  shuffled her feet as he continued ——— she didn’t need an apology,                  because she understood.  Finally, she got the hectic life Barry had to                  struggle with,   and while it was relieving,    it didn’t make things any                  less awkward.

     ❛ It’s okay. Really. I mean, I’m not sure if I would’ve even         BELIEVED it at first if you told me. The future, Wells...         it’s all really hard to believe. ❜
