Day 1 - Crux

A seemingly ordinary cave was being watched by two Keepers of the moon in the dead of night, sitting on the branch of a tree in the shroud. “Y’know, if the Girdinians saw us they’d probably think we’re poachers or something” the brunette muttered under his breath, getting hushed by his purple haired partner. The brunette huffed slightly, “Osha, y’don’t have to hush me, there hasn’t been any activity all night” he murmured gently. Osha glanced at his partner and growled back softly, “That might be the case but we could miss something if they hear us” Khuja huffed slightly and leaned back on the trunk of the tree, staring at the cave entrance,for a few more seconds before letting out a small noise of shock as a bundle of scales landed in his lap seemingly out of nowhere. It took him a few moments of nuzzling from the bundle of scales before he recognised his dragonet son, Blue. “Little one…? Where did you come from…?” he asked softly, scratching behind one of his kids horns, glancing down at the forest floor in the direction where he came from, spotting a small xaela child walking through the Shroud. “Is… is that Teggy?” Osha remarked quietly, before reaching for Khuja who had already started climbing down the tree, cradling Blue in one arm as he did. “We will have to continue this another day Osha…” he mumbled to his partner as the other Keeper joined him on the forest floor. Osha let out a small heaved sigh of disappointment before nodding softly. “The kids are more important… and Teggy is so tired he can barely stand, its quite amazing he made it from La Noscea to the Shro-” His sentence was cut short as the Xaela child punched him in the gut. “‘Mstrong” the xaela child yawned, letting out a small noise as he was picked up by Khuja, quietly nuzzling his horn into the man’s chest as he shut his eyes. Khuja let out a small noise of exertion as he set Blue on the Xaela’s stomach as he carried his kids towards home. “The slaver den isn’t going anywhere, I’ll get a bird to keep watch on it” he mumbled as he set off for home with Osha following, shaking his head slightly.
