The Idea of Love

Love. Love. Love. What a beautiful thing love is. Sometimes I can’t help but stop and think about how beautiful love is. It’s a beautiful thing to feel loved and to give love. It’s beauty radiates through the fight one gives for love; Through the commitment to nurture and care for the love received and given. Love is tender. Love is patient. Love is kind. Regardless of the encounters one has with love or the idea of love, those encounters can’t define the love that one day you will encounter. Love is a risk, but it’s a beautiful risk. Sometimes with risk comes pain, but don’t let the fear of hurting stop you from having the opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful things we can do as humans–love.

One day, the risk taken for the commitment to always choose love will be worth it. All the pain, all the mistakes, all the risk, all the fight given — all of it will be worth it when you’re met with the one that, as much as you, commits to nurture and care for this beautiful thing you both will call love.
