A correct intuition, Nanami acquired— For upon finishing her statement, a bell rang off in Koizumi’s mind. The ‘emptiness of death’, did she say? Reading between the lines, it was a bit hard to judge what she was implying. Yet, she knew something had occurred to make the other act in such a determined manner. Most individuals were like that, in the sense where their strong will-power accumulated through past experiences and wishing to avoid or make up for those tough times.
However, she could only assume the same applied in their current circumstances. It would make sense, but there were still pieces of the puzzle left un-solved— If so, what did that sentence exactly entail? She had never heard of someone feeling death once before, as far as she could remember. It just.. didn’t add up. Alas, she was aware of her own empty memories, for their weight felt a bit un-balanced due to past experimentation.
“.. That’s a good attitude to keep. I’m not positive what it’s like to be in your shoes, but I’m sure you’ll be able to go far so long as you keep those morals in mind. Staying true to yourself.. Living for the sake of existence.. There’s nothing wrong with that, is there?”
She felt similarly, despite the past turmoils. In truth, Koizumi wanted to keep pursuing forward with all of her might. Regrettable pasts tore at her mind with every ounce, but it would do no good to let it overcome her (once more). As she finished that train of thought, it almost made her realize what she had been striving for all that time.. She didn’t want to lose sight of herself any further.
“Um, but.. There’s something about what you said that’s bugging me. You don’t want to feel death ‘anymore’.. What does that mean? Have you had that feeling before? I can’t understand how that’s possible, yet.. If I may, I want to help you. You seem like you have good intentions, so.. If you’d be willing, I’d like to hear you out.”
