Change

It's been quite a while and quite a few changed since I last updated.

1. I turned 18 on the 21st of July.

2. I got my A-level results on the 16th of August.

3. I'M GOING TO UNI!

4.I broke up with my boyfriend

5.I'm fully into my charity shopping/thrifty new lifestyle

6.I'm loving the new me.

A Month-ish to go! (and rant)

So it's about a month until I'm 18 and I have no plans.

I don't really want to go out and get drunk, I'm not going on holiday, lets be honest I'm probably going to be working.

Work have been giving me hardly any shifts recently, it sucks, I'm trying to pay for so many things at the moment.

I am running my car

Paying for driving lessons

Saving for uni

Saving for car insurance

Trying to have fun (Which requires several costly things)

I love my job though, so I shall hope for more shifts next week.

Long time no post!

Sorry guys been really busy with exams the past few weeks so not had much time to post :( 

I'm rediscovering so many things at the moment.

I have taken up knitting again, I forgot how calming it is, my plan is to knit a Hufflepuff themed blanket for when/if I got to uni in September. I'm still trying to teach myself how to purl. Hopefully next time to see my mum she's going to teach me so I can really get going on the blanket. Hoping I have time to knit some of my friends a few harry potter themed things. My overall aim is to knit myself a Weasley sweater!. 

CHARITY SHOPS! How I have missed you! I love them. I know some people turn their noses up at them but i don't see why, everything has to meet standards before it can be sold. People complain because the clothes aren't cleaned but everything is steam cleaned before it goes out and I always wash stuff when I get it home anyway. Not everything in charity shops are for old people. The whole thrill of charity shopping is in the chase. Rummaging in one shop I found nothing! I walked into the next shop and spend 20quid on 2 missive bags rammed full of clothes! A Topman hoody for £1.50? HELL YES! I really couldn't say no. I'm going to carry on shopping in charity shops. With a student budget I can't really afford to shop anywhere else!

Making my own clothes. I have been truly inspired by the Channel 4 program Super Scrimpers. Where waste not want not is the motto. Anything to save money! An old craft shop in my village had a jumble sale the other week so I got in early and got a carrier bag full of material for 50p, a small bag of felt scraps for 20p, a novelty carrier bag holder which i now use for my dirty washing for 50p and a very funky fruit bowl for £1! So the plan for the summer is that Bex and I shall spend a weekend together all sorts of crafts and stuff, it's going to be great!

Volunteer work. I really love volunteering with the WRVS but I haven't been able to do it since April (due to exams/school work) and I have missed everyone so much. I'm so excited to be going back and spending a whole 2 days a week with them. Basically the WRVS works with the elderly providing services and care. I work at my local lunch club, serving meals but most importantly being a friendly face, some of them only leave the house once a week. It's just really nice to give something back (massive cliche) . 

I have so many plans for this summer! EEEEEEKKK  

Just saying...

My one issue with this is that Buzz Lightyear doesnt' fly.

He falls in style.
