We must never allow ourselves to be so foolish as to revolt under the banner of a communist who would genocide those in the protected social classes of Landlord, Millionaire, or Cop. We should instead only permit ourselves to vote for Liberals and Democrats who would simply genocide non-protected classes like Foreigner, Poor, or Degenerate. This will ensure that we will live in a Lawful Democracy for 1000 years.
Would you rather have a president that enables a genocide? Or would you rather have a president that vilifies immigrants, promotes facism, dismantles the rights of women and minorities, emboldens white nationalists, worsens the wage gap, defunds vital services, AND enables a genocide?
It's an unfair and unreasonable question to ask. I know. Unfortunately those are our choices for president. It sucks, but it's a 2 party system. And until any change is made where a 3rd party vote is no longer equivalent to not voting at all, it's better to just vote blue for the presidential election. Not because Democrats are the "lesser evil", but because NOT having a Republican president will prevent further suffering of Americans and will lessen the risks of minorities' rights being threatened and revoked.
The president chooses the members of the supreme court who hold lifelong positions and whose legal decisions have decades-long ramifications. Trump picked 3 of the 11 current members who currently hold a Republican majority. It was that supreme court that overturned Roe V Wade and that decision is harming thousands of people today in multiple states.
Biden already nominated one SCOTUS, and in his next term he could appoint 1-2 more Democratic members who would work to protect rather than erode American rights.
The Trump administration was lethal for thousands of Americans for a multitude of reasons, including his failure to properly respond to and then proceeded to politicize the COVID-19 pandemic.
As awful as it sounds, as hard as it is to believe in the moment, ESPECIALLY with the atrocities Biden is perpetuating in Palestine right now, don't believe for a moment that this genocide would be even slightly less cruel under Trump. The difference is Trump's cruelties would extend to Americans as well— especially immigrants.
The point I'm making is the only ethical choice for this election is to vote for Biden, but at the same time that vote is not the same as condoning his actions. Don't let voting be the end all for political action, and I hope you understand why this choice is necessary in an unfair voting system. Please participate in your local elections, Call your representatives. Continue demanding a permanent ceasefire and an end of Israel's occupation over Palestine. And please keep helping Palestinians.
I think it's quite wild to say people domestically haven't been dying under Biden. Hundreds of thousands disabled people have died during the Biden presidency due to covid. I myself only got covid because people around my family stopped masking. Even some of my family members stopped masking because of the CDC thing. There have been countless other things that I'm too tired to list as well that directly contributed to the death of people.
I'm sorry I don't know why you sent this I'm not going to change my mind. I'm not voting for the man that killed people I know and lied to our faces about it.
“Or would you rather have a president that vilifies immigrants, promotes facism, dismantles the rights of women and minorities, emboldens white nationalists, worsens the wage gap, defunds vital services, AND enables a genocide?”
I don’t know, anon, let’s talk about it:
(** several, though not all, of the links and points made in this post come from @ubernegro ’s excellent Lyin Biden compilation)
I also don’t want a president that vilifies immigrants. I don’t want a president who waived federal land grants to allow further construction of the border wall in Texas, after saying “not another foot” of border wall would be constructed by his administration. I don’t want a president who continues to allow family separation of children as young as eight at the border. I don’t want a president keeping asylum seekers from a US-manufactured conflict in limbo for over two years. Or a president who mass deports thousands of haitians (using “some of the most aggressive approaches to immigration put in place by former President Donald J. Trump.”), or who holds over 22,000 people in ICE cages, also enabling the mass spread of COVID amongst already vulnerable migrants (since we know COVID disproportionately affects poor & nonwhite ppl, due to systemic medical racism and lack of access to medical care) while also refusing to provide them COVID vaccine access, or who allows red states to kidnap migrants at the border, or continues the law to deport immigrants for minor/petty crimes, or one who expands Trump’s usage of a title 42 (deporting immigrants from various countries using COVID as a justification), or who proposed to increase mandatory detention and create a new system allowing mass deportations without due process, or who worked directly with republicans to negotiate a bill that would be “the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border we’ve ever had in our country. It would give [him], as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. And if given that authority, [he] would use it the day [he] sign[s] the bill into law.”, or who invited trump to work together with him in border control, or…
Well. That sucks, but I'm sure immigration isn't actually that important anyway. I mean, they DID come here illegally, which Dems have now pivoted to insisting, not 2 years after crying about how "no human is illegal." But I guess it's a lot harder to rally around "kids in cages" as a campaign strategy when your candidate is the one who put them there.
Women's rights, though! I'm sure that's good. I mean, Roe v. Wade did get overturned under Biden's presidency, as you said...despite dems having weeks heads up to do anything besides handwring about it, but what else could Dems or Biden do? but... well. Hmm. Joe Biden did say "I've never been supportive of, you know, 'It's my body, I can do what I want with it.'" “I don’t want abortion on demand, but I thought Roe v. Wade had it right" is truly inspiring me to believe he'll be a hard champion for abortion rights, especially when coupled with his apparent inability to say the word abortion.
But you're right, you're right, he did say he'd protect abortion rights, so that's obviously fine! He's never gone back on a campaign promise before.
I'm sure he's fine for women and "minorities." And not "promoting fascism." Nothing his administration has done is indicative of the already-existing global & nationwide rise in fascism. Except for that time the NY Governor (a Dem, mind you) deployed the National Guard to do *checks notes* bag checks on the subway. Or trying to secure billions of dollars for Israel and "border security." Or increasing spending on police over and over again. Or allowing the police to keep the billions of dollars of military weapons they have been sent, as well as sending them more military equipment than Trump ever did. While we're at it, he's also increased the military budget over and over and over again. Labeling protestors as terrorists is, I'm sure, not promoting fascism. Nor is repeatedly defying Indigenous land and water sovereignty. Or allowing Trump's USPS Postmaster General to continue destroying the USPS (hey, something something "defunding vital services).
Bombing Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, and others also isn't indicative of the United States promoting fascism. After all, it's not fascism if it hurts brown & Black people. Perpetuating the US's global imperialism is fine, actually.
But I'm sure all of this not promoting fascism. and I’m sure by spending billions on the police and military has no adverse effect on “defunding vital services.” After all, Biden never pushed cities and states to spend COVID-19 relief money on the police. Or spent more on the Pentagon and Israel than he ever has on climate change. Biden ending the USPS's program of sending free COVID-19 tests just as we came out of the second biggest surge of the entire pandemic doesn't constitute the removal of vital services, does it? I'm sure the fact that homelessness is at the highest it's been since 2007 has nothing to do with any of this. Food insecurity, financial insecurity, and housing insecurity all rising while the social safety net shrinks and Biden fails to give the money he promised towards affordable housing, healthcare access, and education has nothing to do with the billions he drops every other week on Israel and the military and the police.
And COVID...COVID COVID COVID.
The COVID death rate under Biden has not improved compared to under Trump. Biden ended the public emergency of COVID despite cases and deaths still surging, thus also ending any benefits that accompanied the national emergency. His CDC no longer reports accurately on COVID deaths or infections. It reduced the isolation time to five days, then one, based on no science. He said the pandemic was over with hundreds of deaths a week. The weekly death rate has been over 1,000 for the past 28 weeks. This is likely an undercount. Biden has absolutely politicized the pandemic. And it has cost tens of thousands of lives and more.
And none of this even touches on Biden’s genocide of Palestinians. Which has been detailed at length by several. He has no intention of stopping and we all know this. You know this.
Tell me more, though, about "lessen[ing] the risks of 'minorities'' rights being threatened and revoked." Are we lessening the risk of something that is already happening, by continuing the conditions under which it is happening? Are you saving brown people from ourselves when you tell us to shut up and vote for the “only ethical option” that is killing our families? Simply because, as you say, doing otherwise will further YOUR (Americans’) suffering? Why do you feel the need to lecture a Palestinian on how to “please keep helping Palestinians,” when they tell you that the man slaughtering Palestinians is not, in fact, helping Palestinians? Do you really think Palestinians, or any of us, believes it will be better under Trump, as you so condescendingly claim? Thank goodness we have you, random politically reasonable anon, to help us see through the bloody fog of our own biases. I am sorry our dead children clouded our judgment of their murderer.
“I hope you understand why this choice is necessary” — Do you? Do you hope Palestinians understand why their mass slaughter is necessary to you? Do you understand that’s what you’re saying? “The only ethical choice” — do you understand that you are, quite explicitly, telling a Palestinian it is ethical to vote for the man who is slaughtering their family?
Please shut up.
Biden's administration also failed to predict & plan for strain variations despite virologists begging them to realize what's coming, has rescinded COVID relief funds against the advice of health officials, has entirely removed any pressure on insurance companies to cover tests or COVID care, has left schools in a shortfall due to the early end of aid, ended mask mandates...
& then just all of this:
& if you think this is Just Biden:
whats your favorite poem?
"This is for the kids who die, Black and white, For kids will die certainly. The old and rich will live on awhile, As always, Eating blood and gold, Letting kids die.
Kids will die in the swamps of Mississippi Organizing sharecroppers Kids will die in the streets of Chicago Organizing workers Kids will die in the orange groves of California Telling others to get together Whites and Filipinos, Negroes and Mexicans, All kinds of kids will die Who don't believe in lies, and bribes, and contentment And a lousy peace.
Of course, the wise and the learned Who pen editorials in the papers, And the gentlemen with Dr. in front of their names White and black, Who make surveys and write books Will live on weaving words to smother the kids who die, And the sleazy courts, And the bribe-reaching police, And the blood-loving generals, And the money-loving preachers Will all raise their hands against the kids who die, Beating them with laws and clubs and bayonets and bullets To frighten the people— For the kids who die are like iron in the blood of the people— And the old and rich don't want the people To taste the iron of the kids who die, Don't want the people to get wise to their own power, To believe an Angelo Herndon, or even get together
Listen, kids who die— Maybe, now, there will be no monument for you Except in our hearts Maybe your bodies'll be lost in a swamp Or a prison grave, or the potter's field, Or the rivers where you're drowned like Leibknecht But the day will come— You are sure yourselves that it is coming— When the marching feet of the masses Will raise for you a living monument of love, And joy, and laughter, And black hands and white hands clasped as one, And a song that reaches the sky— The song of the life triumphant Through the kids who die."

remember when elomusk asked one of his rocketship employees to give him sex favors in exchange for a horse
I think this tidbit should be more famous than his exploding cars. It's all I'll ever need to know. A real human man tried and failed to barter with a flight attendant for third base by offering to buy her a horse (that's what girls like, right?)
every time I bring up the horse thing at least a few people haven't heard of it, so I think it's only fair to keep mentioning it for as long as I live
