This is the front and back of a map of bus lines throughout Washington, D.C. as they appeared at the beginning of 1967. Streetcars had been eliminated in 1962 and the Washington Metrorail would not begin service until 1976, making buses the primary source of public transportation.

In honor of National Safety Month, this is a traffic signal and walk sign on Minnesota Avenue. Dated 1947.
A photo of 3rd & I Streets NW near the site of the construction of the Center Leg. Mount Carmel Baptist Church is featured and is still located on this block, though this structure was razed circa 1980 to make way for a more modern building.
