i would never make a decision. what if i change my mind
Star Trek Beyond ramblings under the cut, because I love this movie so much:
It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.
The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003) dir. Peter Jackson
alright I’m just gonna say it in star trek 2009 bones & kirk have the tropiest relationship possible and I will never be over it. they met on a shuttle, both at the lowest points in their lives, and drunk!bones threatens to puke on jim??? and proceeds to be the most dramatic mf? “All I got left r my bones” and instead of being like ok bye jim grabs on to this man and says this is my best friend. and then spend the next few years in academy as best friends!!!! and when jim gets in trouble and can’t go to space, bones drugs him so he can get on board the ship bc he can’t leave him behind. what in the ao3 was that shit
still trying to imagine what it would look like when joe and nicky are “pissed at each other” but all my brain can come up with is both of them being like
Okay so this one was kind of a mess from start to finish for several reasons and I'm not really happy with how it turned out but I just reached the point where I had to stop and move on ;A;
Hopefully the next one will go better X'D
We did it right, Andy. For the right reasons.
i just can't stop thinking about "we killed each other" "many times" and how greg rucka said that it only took them a few days to realise their connection and now all i can see is them killing each other, waking up, doing the spiderman pointing meme more annoyed each time and repeat. like it's just a solid 24 hours of murder on loop. probably some flirty banter bc let's face it it's yusuf al kaysani and he has woken up to a beautiful man on top of him several times, granted there was a knife in his hand but that can easily be interpreted as requited flirting.
One thing that pisses me off a lot is the fact that the world is not made for single people. Ignore the fact that everyone and their dogs think it's wrong not to want a partner, I'm talking about practical things.
I'm talking about rent and mortgage in a city like London with only one salary. Yes, it's exactly as hard as you can imagine. Not easy on a single salary unless you're senior management level, want to commute two hours each day, or you are lucky enough to have your landlady be your best friend. Or you don't mind living in a shoebox pretending to be a studio. Otherwise, you'll be in a shared house.
I'm talking about holiday and travel, where either you go to hostel dorms of pay double price for a room in most hotels. And there are no packages for one, or barely any, and they are in singles holidays where the objective is not so much travel but stop being single.
I'm talking about doing shopping and producing more food waste than I'm comfortable with because everything comes in bigger portions than one person can reasonably eat. Even with freezing more than half of everything there will still be something that goes off because you were too slow to eat it if you do shopping once a week. Or you have to go shopping every couple of days and eat the same those two days.
It's not enough to have all media telling you you're wrong for not wanting a relationship, the entire world will try to push you into forming one by making it too expensive to be single.
Nicky: we killed each other
Nile: then what happened

Absolutely amazing how AO3 is a part of the internet that doesn't sneak in any ads and doesn't have an algorithm and doesn't watch you or record how much time you spend looking at each fic or whatever. It's just right there to use for free. Legend
TOP 10 TV SHOWS (as voted by my followers) 1. THE GOOD PLACE (2016-2020) ↳ Picture a wave. In the ocean. You can see it, measure it, its height, the way the sunlight refracts when it passes through. And it’s there. And you can see it, you know what it is. It’s a wave. And then it crashes in the shore and it’s gone. But the water is still there. The wave was just a different way for the water to be, for a little while. That’s one conception of death for Buddhists. The wave returns to the ocean, where it came from and where it’s supposed to be.
um it was literally so romantic when bones stabbed jim kirk w a syringe so he could sneak him on the enterprise bc he didn’t want to go to space without him
Remember that time Daystrom tried to kick Bones out of a “security area” and Kirk immediately said “EXCUSE ME this is a free range doctor and he gets to go wherever his li’l heart desires including wherever I go because we love him”
(Okay, he said “I wouldn’t worry, Doctor. Doctor McCoy has clearance throughout the ship,” but…same thing.)
