Reporting for Duty || Spock and Spock

It was a matter of practice that allowed Selek to keep the smile he was feeling from his lips, but he could not hide it in his eyes. Their eyes had always betrayed them, but as he’d grown older, Selek had noticed that the eyes often betrayed pure-blooded Vulcans as well. He searched Spock’s face, looking for the emotions that he could already feel through their bond, and his own eyes closed for a moment in acknowledgement.
“I look forward to my experiences here. Thank you for meeting me, t’dashu,” he said, using the Vulcan name for twin. “Do you have time to escort me to my quarters before returning to your duties?” Selek stepped into pace beside Spock, their footsteps matching exactly as if they had never been parted by time and distance.
His eyes took in the people moving around them as they walked through the ship that was now his home. Spock was comfortable while Selek was curious. He hoped he would fit in as well as his twin soon. “Enterprise is an impressive vessel. I hope to adjust to being on a ship quickly. Luckily I no longer suffer from space sickness as I did when we were children.”

The smile in Selek's eyes was an obvious and welcome sight to the Commander. There was nobody who could understand him the way that his twin did. He knew from a quick check of their bond that his brother knew he felt the same happiness and excitement at being together again. Neither enjoyed being parted, especially after everything they had both gone through.

"I look forward to having you aboard." Spock replied, eyes forward as they began walking from the shuttle bay. "I have in fact been given leave for the remainder of the day to spend with you, t'dashu. Captain Kirk is quite fascinated with the prospect of my twin also serving aboard the Enterprise."

Spock had realised some time ago that the Enterprise was his home, yet it had never felt so much so as it did now. Selek made up  the half of himself that he had been missing. Home was where his t'dashu was. "I can show you to your quarters and then you may decide what else you would like to do today."

Reporting for Duty || Spock and Spock

He sat in silence, reading over his PADD while the shuttle rendezvoused with Enterprise. Hassu Selek, or Dr. Selek as he was known in Starfleet, was excited—not that anyone on board the shuttle could tell. He was experienced at controlling his emotions and keeping a neutral expression on his face. He’d be with his twin soon, his t’dashu, and there was no place that he wanted to be more.

The shuttle took a turn, and Selek heard the gasps from those who had never seen the flagship of the fleet before. He cast a glance out the window, and was in truth impressed by the view as well. But more than that, at the edges of his consciousness he could feel the nearness of his brother who was the other half of his soul. Enterprise would be like going home.

Selek waited for the rest of the crew to leave the shuttle before making his exit with his bag slung over his shoulder. His other baggage would be delivered to his quarters by support crew. He stepped out of the shuttle and turned to find his brother standing at the end of the ramp wearing his blue duty tunic over his blacks. “Reporting for duty, Mr. Spock.”

Spock sat at his station, monitoring the progress of the shuttle coming to the Enterprise. He had been parted from his brother far longer than he was happy with. Both had been busy following the destruction of Vulcan. The Commander of the Enterprise carefully concealed the anticipation and excited that coursed through him at the impending arrival of his twin.

As the shuttle neared, Spock was relieved of his duty on the bridge to greet Selek. The knowledge that his twin would also be serving aboard the Enterprise had created quite a buzz among the crew.

The Commander stood, hands linked behind his back, waiting as the crew aboard the shuttle filed onto the Enterprise, chattering excitedly. Spock nodded a curt greeting to the few that seemed puzzled as to why he was standing there when he was obviously on the shuttle they were exciting. He could feel Selek's presence, a welcome sensation that he had missed more than he cared to admit. Had he been human, a broad smile would have crossed his lips when he saw his brother step onto the ship. "It is a pleasure to have you aboard, Dr. Selek."

(LOOKIT!! CANDLELIT DINNER!! HAPPY THINGS)

Spock had been researching human dating. He wanted to do something nice for Tiberius. Step out of his comfort zone and attempt to be romantic. It was difficult to find things that could be done on the ship. A candlelit dinner however, seemed to be quite popular, and possible.
He set up some of the candles that he used for meditation on the small table in his own quarters. He used the replicator to make everything he knew Tiberius liked and laid it all out. He changed into some casuals, dark jeans and a black button up shirt. He lowered the lights and the temperature so it would be more comfortable for the human.
Once he had everything perfect, he sent a message to his lover.
[PADD Message: Tiberius, would you please join me in my quarters?]

"That’s cheating," Tiberius laughed, vainly restraining himself from throwing in a childish ‘I asked you first.’ He speared a potato, smirking slightly as he chewed. He thought the question over in that time, tilting his head slightly.

Swallowing, Tib turned his gaze back to Spock, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. “I vote we watch a mystery.” It’d be fun to watch the Vulcan try to puzzle through the answer- especially if it was a film Tiberius had already seen- a logic-oriented man trying to find ground in a landscape of red herrings and deliberately-erroneous clues. “That should be entertaining.”

"Something I learned from you and your brother." He smiled a little, taking a sip from his glass of tea. Spock nodded, watching the blond across from him. "A mystery sounds amusing." He agreed, taking a bite of rice, dark eyes following blue.

The half Vulcan was enjoying himself. This was new and strange territory for him, dating. Seeing how happy it made Tiberius however, made it completely worth it. He wanted to make the other man smile more often than he currently did. Making him upset was something he seemed to be quite skilled at. "Do you have any in particular in mind?"

"It is alright. I understand." Spock gently rubbed his back. "You were worried."

"Yeah but I still was bein’ an ass." Leonard hummed softly at Spock’s touch.

"I am quite used to that." He smirked just a little, watching Leonard.

"Better." Leonard replied, sighing into Spock’s collarbone. "I’m sorry again about how I was actin’ yesterday. I know it wasn’t your fault."

Spock felt Leonard move and let out a sleepy groan when felt the kiss to his neck. He tilted his head, tightening the arm that he had wrapped around the doctor.

"How are you feelin’." Leonard asked, voice still gruff from sleep. He let himself be pulled closer to Spock.

"I am fine." Spock spoke softly, watching his bondmate. "How are you feeling?"

Spock smiled, curling his arm around the doctor’s waist. 'Love you too. Sleep well.”

When Leonard woke up again he was considerably closer to Spock. He glanced over at the clock and saw that it was still early in the morning. Leonard laid back down on the bed, inching closer to the Vulcan and pressing a kiss to his neck.

i think my neighbourhood deserves a sitcom because there’s

  • me, the teen blogger
  • a house with 8 nuns
  • a drug dealer who drives a hummer
  • a scottish man who only ever wears a kilt and mows his lawn at 3 am
  • an elderly couple who drive everywhere on their lawn mower
  • a peacock who has been roaming the neighbourhood for years and no one knows why or where it came from

I’d watch the shit outta that show
